Recap / Bones S 12 E 6 The Flaw In The Saw

Go To

The dismembered body of a female lumberjack leads Booth and Brennan to investigate the Lumber Sports Regional Championships, where they discover no shortage of motives for the murder, including an affair with a married rival. Meanwhile, Hodgins secretly analyzes the bacteria on the bone of a dead lobbyist that he believes will exonerate the murderer, Zack Addy.

Tropes

  • Butt-Monkey: Poor Rodolfo. Not only does he get pranked by Hodgins into diving through a truly nasty dumpster's worth of taxidermy remains, he also doesn't get to go to the lumberjack competition and then he talks too much and talks his way out of getting to play with chainsaws.
  • Does This Remind You of Anything?: Rodolfo and Hodgins cut through logs with chainsaws, together, with heavy 70s music playing, with sawdust flying, in slow motion. With the saws held right in front of their groins.
  • The Unreveal: We don't get to learn who won the log-rolling competition between Brennan and Booth.
