Whole landmasses were given over to particular types of waste. For twenty minutes, the ship flew over a dozen mountains composed entirely of discarded tin cans, so high the peaks were capped with snow. It passed over an island the size of the Malagasy Republic piled high with decomposing black bags. It flew over a fermenting sea, flaming with toxic waste. It skimmed over an entire continent of wrecked cars: thousands upon thousands of miles of rusting chassis. It crossed a desert; a vast, featureless flatland of cigarette dimps.
And then it arrived at the continent for sewage.
