Basic Trope: A father intimidates his daughter's boyfriend into showing restraint with her.

- Exaggerated: Bob holds Dean in a Torture Cellar, shining the light in his face as he does, and tells Dean in a deep, raspy, and harsh tone about what would happen to him if he upset Alice.
- Downplayed: Bob doesn't threaten Dean, but firmly tells him to treat her well.
- Justified: One of Alice's past boyfriends sexually humiliated and/or abused her, and Bob is making sure Dean doesn't do the same thing.
