Basic Trope: People who are deceased are given names/individuality to signify their importance.

  • Straight: After the heroes see a list of the Big Bad Emperor Evulz' victims, they take note of the fact that the victims are given names.
  • Exaggerated: Evulz has killed millions of people, and the list not only includes all of his victims' full names, but gives a whole biography on all of them.
  • Downplayed:
    • The victims aren't necessarily given names, but are clearly individualized.
    • Only some of the victims are given notable individuality, and they're mainly the ones that have importance to the plot - for instance, Hiro's cousin, Sakura.
  • Justified: Well, they were their own people before they died.
  • Inverted: Even detailed war memorials only state that "Many people died in this war".
  • Subverted: ???
  • Double Subverted: ???
  • Parodied: ???
  • Zig-Zagged: ???
  • Averted: It's just stated that Evulz killed millions of people without getting into specifics.
  • Enforced:
  • Lampshaded: ???
  • Invoked: ???
  • Exploited: ???
  • Defied: Evulz is so through with his work that not only do his victims die, he also thoroughly disposes of their bodies and erases all records of their existence so that the heroes can't identify who they were.
  • Discussed: ???
  • Conversed: ???
