Basic Trope: An actor doesn't even bother with a fitting accent.
- Straight: The film Tropers II features a Russian character, however the actor just speaks in a regular American accent.
- Exaggerated:
- The film has characters of several nationalities; none of them have a fitting voice.
- Alternatively, the character is from a nationality with a heavy accent, yet the actor speaks with the most monotone voice.
- Downplayed: Ooh, Me Accent's Slipping
- Justified: The character either arrived in the U.S. at a very young age or was born there. Their American accent is their normal speaking voice.
- Parodied: The actor is the same nationality as the character, yet he speaks with an American accent.
