Satan as he is portrayed in this film(pictured). First off his appearance is very gargoyle-like with a fixed expression and cement textured skin, all while his movements both by Benjamin Christensen portrayal and the undercrank the movie tends to have, gives his motions a very unnerving speed which definitely hits the uncanny valley hard. All in all, this movie's portrayal of Satan is very dreamlike(or rather nightmare-like).
The overall old film quality of the film makes it creepier, with poorer lighting making every scene way more ominous than it would otherwise be.
