It seems like Artifisouls is a ligh-hearted story about a robot discovering his past in a alien world with other robots and humans, right? Think again, for Arata hides unspeakable terrors under its bright world.- When Skittie meets a mysterious child that takes him to another robot of the same model he is, the child brings what appears to be a battery made out of a weird looking crystal. After Skittie puts the battery in the robot, an unstable energy suddenly crackles and possesses Skittie and the re-activated robot watches in horror how Skittie, now possessed by the energy, kills them in cold blood. Even the child is distraught by this and leaves before things can get messier.
- Tailor is a robot who tails clothes. But she looks like a creepy arachnoid robot, good thing she is on the side of the heroes.
- Mimmets. This shadow-like creatures prey during the night and will kill anyone for a core made by Espera. One of them nearly kills Liz but they managed to escape. Just where did this things come from?
- Back then, Arata used to be a beautiful planet, with wildlife flourishing everywhere, guarded by the Great Beasts of the planet. Until humanity barge in and planned to colonize it. The Great Beasts defended the planet with great might, but humanity released atomic bombs to kill the spirits and take over a irradiated but colonized planet. It is scary to think how powerful humanity was to kill powerful beings such as the spirits.
- The radiation the bombs would emit would later be known as the Curse. The radiation of the bombs was so intense that several parts of the planet are in lock down due to the radiation.
- When Skittie and MD goes to Sylican Bay Village, Pie returns and is screaming of solar flares again. But this time, he is right and solar flares starts to fry up robots in the vicinity, with Pie talking in the same way a apocalypse cult leader would do. The most unnerving part of all of this is that one of the flares seem to posses Skittie in the same manner that a strange energy possessed him early in the first chapter. Thankfully, it doesn’t last long and everything returns back to normal.
- Skittie joins with Stellar and Flare for a mimmet hunting. When they discover a small one, they try to lure it with a energy source but the mimmet, seemingly attracted to a more powerful energy source leaves, making the trio to chase it down. Only to end up meeting a giant snake-like mimmet that nearly kills Flare.
