A lot of the future-set stories for After the Jungle take place about 25-years after the original series (when Arnold, Helga and the rest of their old friends/classmates were in 4th-grade and were around 9 or 10). And many of them have gotten married at some point in their lives.
- The two most notable examples are Arnold/Helga and Gerald/Phoebe, with Helga and Phoebe taking their respective husbands' last names—Arnold proposed to Helga few months after they graduated college and they got married about a year later. Gerald proposed to Phoebe shortly after Arnold and Helga's wedding reception ended (and the couple left on their honeymoon) and they got married several months later.
- As noted in "The Wedding Day" (the one-shot that describes the day Arnold and Helga finally got married), Harold and Pattie were apparently the first couple within Arnold and Helga's main circle of friends to get married, because by the day of Arnold and Helga's wedding, Harold and Pattie had already been married for five years (and even had a preschool-aged daughter named Sylvia).
- Rhonda and Curly (who goes by his real name of "Thaddeus" as an adult) get married—while their exact wedding date isn't revealed, they got married after Arnold and Helga but before Gerald and Phoebenote , and their wedding occurred on the 15th of whatever month it occurred in.
- Lila Sawyer (Arnold's former crush and Helga's former love rival) ends up marrying Arnold's creepy cousin, Arnie, making her and Arnold in-laws—it's revealed in "The First Year" (a series of one-shots detailing Arnold and Helga's first year as a married couple) that Arnie and Lila got married shortly after high school ended (when they were only around 18 or 19).
- Eugene (who came out of the closet sometime when he and the others were in high school) marries a man named Brandon.
- Sheena marries a guy she met in high school named John.
- Sid, Stinky, Nadine and even Lorenzo all end up getting married—it seems like Sid was the last of them to get married, because in "The Class Reunion"note , Sid's stated to still be single while Lorenzo's engaged to a woman named Sheila.
- Helga's sister, Olga, marries a guy named Patrick Sherman.
- Rex Smythe-Higgins III eventually gets married.
- Some people who got married eventually got divorced:
- Connie and Maria ultimately got divorced from Burt (for Connie) and Tommy (for Maria).
- Summer Mitchell (the mean girl from "Summer Love" and "Summer Love II") married some guy she met while trying to pursue an acting career in Los Angeles, but they ultimately got divorced.
- Wolfgang's ex-wife is a woman named Mary-Jo.
