Dungeon Life
is a Dungeon Core story published on Royal Road.
The premise is simple:
"A normal guy gets hit by a truck and isekai'd. Why? Because trucks are apparently some cosmic loophole. He decides to be a dungeon, because it sounds weird and interesting to be one. Is it? Let's find out."
The execution is considerably more complex.
- A Dungeon Is You: The whole basis of the story, using the dungeon core variant for where the Genius Loci is housed.
- Meaningful Name: Thedeim is the story’s main character. As in, The DM, or The Dungeon Master.
- No Focus on Humans: To the extreme. The world to which Thedeim was sent has elves, dwarves, beastkin, and the like, but no humans at all. Even the word “human” has no meaning. Furthermore, visions of Thedeim’s old world have humans completely blanked out.
- Non-Indicative Name: Deliberately invoked by Thedeim in the case of Tiny, who eventually grows big enough that a party of adventurers ride him into battle. …The whole party, not just one of them.
