General

  • Anytime Link has a chance to just cooldown from the conflict he's been fighting and he just gets to have a simple conversation with someone. He's a hell of a fighter, but he's also a caring vulnerable person who has weaknesses that he needs to overcome, which he often does by speaking with other characters.
    • His relationship with his daughter Lochlia and her children (his grandchildren) are just absolutely dripping with sweetness. You almost wouldn't think that he was missing for 100 years of her life. Lochlia loves her late mother Mipha just as much, and she misses her everyday.
  • Zelda's entire character development. She goes from being a very haughty and envious self-loathing person to a confident and caring person who shows that she truly just wants to do right by her family, friends, and kingdom.
  • The camaraderie between the Champions, including Revali. They all have respect for each other's abilities, and at their core, they come off as a genuine close family with some conflict but mostly caring and love for one another.
  • The Sheikah Monks' Spirit Orbs aren't concentrations of power, it's their literal spirits remaining with Link. When he delivers their spirits to Hylia, it's them finally getting to be with the goddess they devoted their entire existences to supporting. And for her part, Hylia treats them like they were her own children, cradling them to bring them to her.
  • A common recurrence is Link coming to the aid of complete strangers. By the same token, many strangers offer their assistance to Link just the same, establishing a theme that people are good in this setting, even though there is in fact the Yiga Clan who veer straight in the opposite direction.
  • Cerako is a loyal companion to Link throughout his quest to free the Divine Beasts, only leaving his side when he commands her to. Other than that, she's nothing but a loyal companion who fights alongside him without any hesitation.
  • Anytime Kass asks Link if he wants to listen to a song, Link always answers yes and listens closely.
