Heartwarming / The Boss Baby: Back in Business

Go To

General

  • Despite some differences Boss Baby and Tim love each other and even get along. Throughout the series, they are always trying to help each other. Hell, Tim has gotten grounded on multiple occasions and physically hurt trying to help BB.
    • Anytime Tim's Big Brother Instinct towards Boss Baby kicks in
      • Boss Baby can become very protective of Tim if he ever feels Tim is any real danger- emotionally or physically.
    • Anytime Boss Baby shows that, yes, he does love Tim more than Baby Corp and will put Tim first when it really counts.
    • Not just Tim; BB also really cares about his parents too.
    • The whole familial love between the Templetons are heartwarming. They all clearly love each other and like spending time together.
  • None of the Boss Babies—except the CEO who has a personal grudge against him—ever tease or hold the fact that the title character decided to have a family against him. They still admire him and treat him with respect.
    • Adding on to this fact, all of the babies in Baby Corp have no objection to Tim knowing about them. One would expect for someone to mention erasing Tim's memories at least once, but it never happens. Even when Boss Baby gets fired in season three, Tim gets to keep his memories of Baby Corp. This shows how much the other babies in Baby Corp really do trust Tim.
Scooter Buskie
  • Tim is very dedicated to helping Scooter and is horrified when his brother and his team take Scooter from his family.
  • The fact that despite Scooter being a terror to the neighborhood his parents still love him.
  • Boss Baby tries to include Tim with his business, something that’s very important to him.
  • BB being willing to eat Tim’s green beans with no strings attached at the end.
Cat's in the Cradle
  • The episode starts with Boss Baby playing with his family. Everyone is having fun with each other and laughing.
  • When Boss Baby sees the kitten go after Tim, who is chained to a couch and is suffering dizzy spells, he begs the kitten to leave him alone. He says that he will give the kitten anything if it means the kitten won't hurt Tim. When the cat refuses he calls for his parents which he had been against since the beginning.
Spirit Day
  • When Tim and BB decide to stand up to CEO baby who always cheats at the Spirit day games all the babies are supportive of them and even inspired.
  • Even though he has every reason to want to show up CEO baby, Boss baby constantly reminds Tim about their dad’s performance and gives him multiple opportunities to quit.
  • While it’s a sort of tearjerker that they missed their dad’s performance, the end where he plays so they can hear him in their rooms is really sweet.
Par Avion
  • Even drugged up BB still helps Tim out when the latter is locked in the “naughty chair.”
    • Before this Tim was talking about how despite the fact he doesn’t care about Baby Corp. he still goes through all the pain and trouble because it’s important to his brother.
Cop Cat!
  • Boss Baby gives up the helmet to Bootsy Calico and only asks that he pays off all the fines his parents were wrongfully given and that cop cat is off the force.
  • The next day Tim comes in to tell BB the good news that all the fines were gone and they wouldn’t have to move. Tim tells BB that he can go bust Bootsy now as they’ll be okay, only to discover that BB gave him the helmet. Tim is worried about BB, but the latter assures him he’ll be fine.
    • Boss Baby actually admits to Tim that he gave up his chance to get CEO baby off his back because what Tim thinks of him means more to him. Keep in mind that BB’s job is VERY important to BB, so this isn’t something he says lightly.
  • At the start of the episode, Tim admits he thinks of his parents as best friends. In a media that’s so anti-parent it’s nice to see a kid who not only loves his parents but LIKES them.
Hang in There, Baby
  • Before Boss baby betrayed the CEO Baby they were actually good friends. They used to joke around and even play harmless pranks on one another.
Six Well-Placed Kittens
  • YMMV, but Boosty motive to avenge his mom whose most humiliating moment is tagged everywhere as a joke is sort of sweet.
    • Adding to this, despite cats being portrayed as bastards they still raised a human baby who has nothing bad to say about them.
  • What’s the first thing Boss Baby does after the breakout? Try to get Tim out as well.
  • Even though in the past Boss Baby only cared about babies getting love now he clearly cares about helping the town and everyone in it.
  • When Staci sees that BB needs Tim she goes to get him. She then tells Tim that even though he used to be selfish having a family made Boss Baby a better person. She then thanks him and hugs him.
  • Boss baby is ecstatic to see Tim when he comes to join him later.
  • What rallies the warring town? A baby in danger.
  • Boss Baby moves his meeting with the board to Monday as he promised to meet his family in five minutes to celebrate with them.
Play It Again, Tim
  • Boss Baby getting really upset over their enemies brainwashing Tim and doing everything he can to snap Tim out of it.
    • When Boss Baby realizes their enemies are turning babies' older siblings into Junior Old People, he screams "TEMPLETON" before running to Tim's side.
Research and Development
  • Tim putting Boss Baby's needs above his own wants.
  • Boss Baby not holding Chip deceiving Tim against Tim.
  • Staci and Jimbo not accepting Tim's resignation
Wrinkles & Stinkles
  • Boss Baby doesn't accept Tim's resignation either
  • This carries over to the rest of the show, but the fact that No one holds what Tim did while brainwashed by the Old People in this finale against him. They all understand that Tim was Brain Washed and forced to participate in the plans to ruin baby love against his will.
Ga Bab Goo Bab Ga
  • Tim throwing the ledger away at the end.
Conference Room B
  • It being heavily implied that Boss Baby's argument with Tim was throwing him off his game. Even the other babies in Baby Corp know Boss Baby needs to fix things with Tim in order for him to get back on track.
  • This episode shows just how well Boss Baby knows and understands Tim. He pays more attention to Tim's likes, dislikes, wants, and needs than even a viewer would think he does. It is the reason Hendershot is able to know Tim so well in such a short amount of time.
The Fumbling of Football Mike While it does cause conflicting emotions because of what it leads to; this episode shows that Boss Baby will his put relationship with Tim above Baby Corp, even if it means Baby Corp will be destroyed. Theo 100 Tim promising that he will always be there to support and catch Boss Baby when he falters, even if it happens in ways Boss Baby does not expect.
