- The moment Ken-Ohki is first introduced in Episode 10. Despite some initial hostility, the girls welcome him into the house with open arms. He soon warms up to them (and quickly develops a love for carrots). Not only that, but Ryo-Ohki and Ken-Ohki quickly become very friendly towards each other as well.
- Sasami's arc is an extended one of these throughout Episode 18, where she meets and quickly befriends a Cute Ghost Girl on a derelict spaceliner. They spend the whole night playing games, pranking the rest of the group, and reminiscing on their fondest memories together. At the end, the picture of the little girl, the only thing left intact on the ship, is changed to include Sasami and Ryo-Ohki alongside her, and includes a sparkling heart as a token of Sasami's affection. D'awww.
- Episode 20, despite having embarrassing tan lines, Kiyone gets plenty of cheers from the crowd when she's on display for the beauty contest. True she didn't win the contest, but it was nice to see her get some praise.
