• Ben cooks lunch for Annileen and references his chef friend, Dex, and his mentor, Yoda, with affection.

• A'Yark, although a tough battle-leader often at odds with the protagonist and not very demonstrative, also loves her son deeply and is proud of him.

• Ben couldn't stop Anakin from going down his dark path, but he gets a second chance with Annileen's son, Jabe, and this time succeeds.
