Heartwarming / Squid Game S1E4 "Stick To The Team"

• Il-nam tells Gi-hun that the latter saved him by licking the back of his honeycomb. He imitates it, causing Gi-hun to laugh despite the circumstances.
• Sang-woo smiling in relief when he sees that Gi-hun managed to survive the last round and apologizes, with Gi-hun assuring Sang-woo that it's all good.
• After the hungry Player 271 gets killed trying to get his food back from Deok-su, Gi-hun goes to the guards and asks them to do something. He points out a man is dead, and that wasn't part of the rules.
• During the riot, Gi-hun gets attacked by an unsuspecting player with a metal bar ready to bludgeon him to death. Sang-woo and Ali come in and save him, then the three go to find the old man only to find him missing and Gi-hun calls out to him in concern.
• Before the riot, Gi-hun offers Sae-byeok to join the team; she initially rejects the offer due to trust issues, but after getting attacked by Deok-su, she comes in to join Gi-hun's group, who all defend her against Deok-su's group.
• An undercover Jun-ho recognizes Gi-hun and asks him if In-ho Hwang is among the prisoners. Gi-hun says they don't know everyone's names, leading to his "Eureka!" Moment that they can fight back by knowing each other's names and showing they are more than fodder.
• Following the riot, Gi-hun, Ali, Sang-woo, the old man, and Sae-byeok take a moment to share their names with one another in order to establish some trust.
• Deok-su gave the doctor some protection in exchange for his intel. The doctor sews up the knife wound that Sae-byeok gave him, saying he's a good patient for holding still without anesthetic. When he realizes the physician did a good job, Deok-su thanks the doctor, in his Jerkass way, saying this is why every family needs a physician.
• Gi-hun's team has three women and an old man; as they're mounting the platform, most of them have an expression of "It was nice knowing you all" because their opponents are all able-bodied men. The old man then speaks up, telling them not to despair; they still have a chance. A Jerkass team member tells him to save his strength because he didn't sleep the night before, which is also heartwarming; Gi-hun says they have nothing to lose by listening to the "sergeant general".
• Gi-Hun's physically weaker team working together during tug of war. Il-nam provides knowledge from his childhood in playing the game, Gi-Hun takes the front position as the leader who can rally others and eyeball the opposition, the dependable Ali takes the back to anchor everyone, and Sang-woo's quick-thinking provides the winning strategy. Despite how horrific the challenge is, it's oddly sweet to see them all cooperating together and playing to their strengths.
