  • In "Other Lives", Jason learns that the Pentagon won't approve a rescue mission for the VX victims. He decides to stay at the hospital and fight, betting that when he makes a Troops In Contact call, the Green Berets will come to the rescue, but he also knows that isn't a sure thing, so he tells his team how it is and asks for volunteers. And Sonny, the cynic with the sour view of the world, who earlier told Jason they couldn't afford to save everyone when their hands are full, who argued that being in a refugee camp was no sort of life for people, who is the first to volunteer to stay. Even Non-Action Guy Dr. Death, visibly terrified out of his wits, chooses to stay.
  • In "The Worst of Circumstances," Jason and Ray have spent the last six months on the outs with each other over Ray hiding his shoulder injury from Jason; their relationship is so strained that Ray has decided to join a different team. And yet, despite all that, Ray is the first one at the hospital when Jason learns Alana has died in a car accident, is there for Jason and his family throughout the entire episode, and returns to Bravo Team for Jason's sake while he's on compassionate leave.
    • Also, the entire team and their families rallying around Jason's family throughout "The Worst of Conditions".
  • Near the end of "Say Again Your Last", Jason speaks to Adam's wife Victoria. He consoles her by telling her that his story of bravery in Mumbai should be publicly be known so that no one can forget him.
Jason: The short answer: he was killed in action. The long answer is: he gave his life, the ultimate sacrifice, to save his brothers. He died a hero. He saved lives. He saved many, many lives today. Adam was dedicated to a life. He was dedicated to something that was bigger than himself. Much bigger. It's why he stepped in for me when my family needed me, which is why your family's paying the price now. You're paying the ultimate price. If I was there, Adam would still be here, and I'm sorry. I am truly sorry for your loss, and it is your loss.
    Victoria: Should the country know?
Jason: Yeah. The world should know. The world. Because if they know, then he lives on forever.
  • The team's reaction at the end of "Payback" when Clay finally calls them after a month of radio silence following his severe IED injuries that required he be airlifted back to the States. They absolutely light up at the sight of him, dismiss his apologies for not calling sooner, and say they're just glad he's home.
  • "My Life For Yours": Ray's tearful hug with Jason when Bravo arrives to save him, made especially poignant with how they had been fighting before, and how broken their relationship had become from Season 1.
  • "Never Out of the Fight", the Season 2 Finale, is full of these:
    • Ray finally coming back to Naima, and later, being present at his son's baptism, having regained his faith and made his peace with God and Jason.
    • Ash Spenser's vehement declaration that he's going to keep on publicising the issue of vets with traumatic brain injury, and he's going to keep fighting for Brett Swann and other vets with TBI to receive the Purple Heart, and that he's doing this for all vets and for Clay, because he doesn't want what happened to Swann to be Clay's ultimate fate. This declaration is followed by Clay calling him "Dad" instead of "Ash" for the first time in the series. The icing on the cake is Ash publicly attending Swanny's funeral, when in Season 1 he was persona non grata who nobody would dare to be seen publicly with.
    • Clay failed his self-chosen mission to get Brett Swann's TBI recognised as an injury deserving a Purple Heart, and couldn't get approval for Swann to be awarded the Purple Heart. So, after his eulogy, he leaves his own Purple Heart on the casket for Swann.
    • In a complete 180 from last year, Sonny doesn't return to an empty apartment to be alone with his demons; instead, he and Davis are spending time together, to make the most of their time before she ships out.
  • After being blown off the side of a mountain in "God of War", Jason spends the rest of the episode escaping and evading with a wounded Cerberus, physically carrying the dog at multiple points, and comforting the terrified and hurt Cerberus.
  • In "Forever War", Clay confessing that he wrote the letter to Ambassador Marsden's husband, sacrificing his career and future dreams of becoming an Admiral, to protect Ray, the actual author of the letter.
    • In the same episode, the team realising that 21 canine years of war have taken a toll on Cerberus, and letting him retire so he can heal from his trauma. As Jason said: "It's time to let him just be a dog again."
