Moment Subpages are Spoilers Off. You Have Been Warned.

Even in a situation as dire as being trapped in a school separated from the outside world and dealing with madness-inducing fog, there are still some bright spots in otherwise dark times.

  • The relationship between the Vice-President and Chiyo. Despite the former having lost all his memories, Chiyo still loves him and, while she's sad he's forgotten everything including her, she swears she'll take him cafe-hopping once they get out of the school. She fulfills that promise at the end of the game.
  • Shinya's gradual warming up to the Vice-President. At the start of the Pactbearer of Lust arc, he's somewhat hostile and cold since the Vice-President is a Pactbearer, but he softens up when he learns about his circumstances, and even comes to see him as an older brother figure, something Kakeru lampshades.
  • In Act 2, despite the news of Chiyo's death impacting everyone to varying degrees, almost every student and teacher in the school knows the Vice-President is hurting the most. Even the former Pactbearers, who were once his enemy and know nothing about him after losing their memories, can only express sadness and offer him their condolences.
  • The reason why the Vice-President refuses to allow Act 2's ending to be definitive. Kakeru notes that, while they aren't happy endings, the Vice-President managed to give his friends some level of closure over their respective traumas. The problem for our VP here is that it's not enough because, as shown after he disappears, his friends are left as miserable wrecks and some are implied to have even died during the climax of certain routes. He's not going to stop until everyone gets a "happy ending".
  • Three words: Chiyo is alivenote . It's as joyous an occasion as you think it is.
