Heartwarming / Harry Is A Dragon, And That's Okay

Go To

Harrys far more laidback and near endlessly kind personality coupled with the whole premise causes many positive changes throughout the story:

  • The Dursleys as a whole are much more bearable than in canon, in part because of Harry's cooking and his interaction with them.
    • Dudley goes so far as trying to keep in touch with Harry by the end.
  • Draco Malfoy never joins the Death Eaters and becomes somewhat of an ally to Harry, even joining Hogwarts in the final battle.
  • Several Slytherins become part of Harry's friend circle and are shown as more comically sneaky than malicious.
  • Severus Snape is much less of a grouch, in part because he realizes early on that Harry really doesn't like being in the spotlight.
  • The treatment of all non-human characters becomes increasingly better as the story progresses. Harry's situation caused an entire evolution of wizarding society to the point where, by the epilogue, aliens are included among magical students!
  • Ron in this story fully realizes his dream of standing out among his family and becomes the first wizard in space. Then the first wizard on the moon. Then mars!
    • On a lesser note, Ron is much more open minded to the point where he is eventually willing to call Draco by his first name instead of his surname.
  • Neville and Luna are also far more accepted in this story than in canon, joining Harry's friend circle in becoming Animagi and joining the "unusually shaped students" club respectively.
