• While George may be a dick to Ira, the thought of having him as a writer for him is still sweet of itself. This shows George as a Jerk with a Heart of Gold... at least until the second half begins.
• George making up to the people he pushed away, including his family members.
• During the Thanksgiving dinner, George makes a toast talking about his appreciation for the rest of the celebs.
• George finding out that his terminal illness is now in remission.
• George reconciling with Ira after apologizing for his earlier behavior.
  • George reveals that he actually stayed up all night writing ideas for jokes for Ira to use for his comedy gigs. The last time Ira asked George if he could help him out with a few jokes, the latter told him he had absolutely no intention of helping him out since nobody was helping him when he was starting. The movie ends with the two sharing heartfelt laughs as they bounce jokes off of each other.
• The fact that Ira cares so much about George's health. He's absolutely heartbroken when George mentions that he's not telling anyone about his leukemia.
