Heartwarming / Don Giovanni

• Both of Ottavio's arias cite his great devotion to Donna Anna - he's not just avenging her because she told him to; he's doing it because her unhappiness causes him great pain and he's willing to put his life on the line just to see her grief weaken.
• Zerlina's Vedrai, carino is quite possibly the most heartwarming moment in the entire opera. Masetto has taken a lot of physical punishment through the beating Giovanni gave him, and while Zerlina does berate him for not heeding her warnings about how his jealousy could potentially lead to that, she forgives him almost immediately and displays her love for him by holding him close to her heart and caressing him. In spite of the fact that she did fall for Giovanni's charm in the previous act, this aria shows that Zerlina still deeply loves her betrothed, and to add to that, she is by his side for the rest of the opera without even a thought of going back to Giovanni.
