Heartwarming / DC Super Hero Girls (2015)

Go To

  • The ending of "Roomies" has Harley sad that she didn't make Wonder Woman happy with her surprises. Her expression turns to joy when Wonder Woman spends time with her.
  • "Fall Into Superhero High" has Harley making a bloopers video to make everyone feel better, and then showing regret when she sees how the others are upset. She only becomes happy when she sees that they're happy again. It's moments like these that show that even as a prankster, she still cares for her friends.
  • "Save The Day" ends with Wonder Woman passing her exam by showing off her skills in battle when saving Lucius Fox instead of the test as planned. It also doubles as a moment of awesome.
  • The special "Super Hero High" has plenty of these:
    • Batgirl and Supergirl's relationship is full of this. While everyone except Cheetah is welcoming to Supergirl, Barbara Gordon is the only one who goes out of her way to help her, giving her the confidence needed to stay in school. In return, Supergirl gives her a suit she conceived that Katana made, which in turn causes Babs to become Batgirl. The end of the movie has them loved by everyone.
    • Though Wonder Woman was a bit envious at Supergirl supposedly being better than her, she doesn't take it out on her, showing self control.
    • Cheetah actually becomes nicer at the end.
    • Big Barda considers going to Super Hero High because they encourage creativity, which shows how she's different from the other Furies.
  • "New Beginnings" has Wonder Woman determined to show Supergirl how great the school is.
  • "Batgirl Vs Supergirl" makes it pretty clear that the titular characters trying to get the last slice of cake is out of playful fun. They exchange witty banter.
  • "Double Trouble" has Katana convince Supergirl that her sport skills aren't great, but she has a great personality.
  • The movie "Hero Of The Year" has plenty of these:
    • At the beginning of the movie, once the girls find out that Big Barda is truly reformed, they immediately welcome her to the group.
    • A minor one, but Harley and Ivy hug each other when they're made lab partners. Considering that they're opposites in this series, it's quite sweet.
    • Even with her being stuck in tiny mode, Bumblebee still wants to help out. Her being rewarded as Hero Of The Year cements that.
    • Hawkgirl is at first reluctant to work with Beast Boy, but she grows to see him as a valuable partner and friend.
    • Supergirl's relationship with the Kents is full of this. While she's a bit innocently insensitive, she truly does care for them, and rightfully sees them as her family in the end.
    • Wonder Woman's relationship with her mother is also heartwarming. She feels the need to live up to her legacy by winning, but they still love each other regardless, especially with the ending, where she's proud of her even without winning the award.
    • In addition to the above, the ending includes also Big Barda and Lady Shiva being friends.
  • A minor example in "The Cheetah Who Cried Wolf" has Solomon Grundy tell Cheetah that he's at the retirement home to read poetry. Even villains have a soft spot.
  • Another minor example is the beginning of "Ring Of Mire", where Star Sapphire is shown picking up trash to clean the park. Granted, it was a bit of an act, but she still had good intentions.
  • "Roomies Return: Frost's Bite" has Miss Martian be the most supportive of the girls in trying to make Frost happy again.
  • Lady Shiva's Hero Of The Month short shows that she's still friends with Big Barda.
  • "Hero Of The Year" has Beast Boy and Hawkgirl become friends. They are the first to congratulate each other in their respective Hero Of The Month shorts, which clearly builds on that. Both shorts also involved them surprising someone on their birthday.
  • "Batnapped" has Batgirl and Supergirl doing a special friendship chant, and it's adorable.
  • "Tales Of The Kryptomite Part 2" has Wonder Woman bring Supergirl upon coming in contact with said Kryptomite. It just shows that she looks out for her teammates as well as citizens.
  • "Seeing Red" is this for Starfire, with her determination to turn everyone back to normal after the red Kryptomite makes everyone but her act like selfish jerks. When all is said and done, they immediately become nice again. It's predictable, but still heartwarming nonetheless.
  • "Spring Prison Break" establishes that Frost and Katana were the first to befriend Barda after she helped them stop Lashina. They give her a satisfactory look at the end.
  • The movie "Intergalactic Games" really brings out the emotion.
    • Wonder Woman denies her mother's orders to hide with her and Ambassador Dek to save their friends. Keep in mind that she would do anything to get her approval and be in his summit. Their making up at the end really sells it.
    • Starfire and Blackfire's relationship is very well written. Starfire doing anything to set her sister on the right path is quite touching. She's willing to look past her flaws and see her for who she is. Blackfire is actually much nicer in this movie compared to other versions of her, which makes her heel face turn at the end feel sweet.
    • Big Barda's refusal to go back to the Female Furies. It might not seem like much, but the fact that she repeatedly refuses their offer go come back to them shows how dead set she is on being good. Her trying to convince Lena to do the same solidifies this.
    • On a similar note, when Lashina starts taunting Barda in attempt to get her to rejoin them, Lady Shiva comforts Barda and then stares angrily at them. In "Hero Of The Year", she was distrustful of Barda until the end, and their friendship continued. The fact she has that much faith in Barda is sweet.
    • Platinum was originally designed to do good, but was reprogrammed by Lena to be evil. Once she's given artificial intelligence, she realizes how good being good is, and helps the heroes in the end. Also, she's quite Adorkable.
  • Seeing Starfire and Blackfire trying to hang out in "Day Of Funship" trying to hang out is really sweet, especially since it's after "Intergalactic Games".
  • "Fury Scorned" nicely shows Batgirl's devotion to her father when he gets poisoned by Lashina.
  • In "Electric Chargs", seeing Thunder encourage Lightning to do her best in restoring the city's power, and them working together, is second to none. Also, Batgirl, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman's hug at the end is also adorable.
  • In "Gorilla Warfare", Grodd gets kidnapped by his gorilla army, who want him to turn back to villainy when they think he's been brainwashed. What's the kicker here? The ending. It turns out that they just wanted to be able to hang with him again. The kidnapping is much, but you have to admire their dedication to him. Also, the fact that Grodd, in his own way, values both of his lives at home and at the school.
  • "It's A Superful Life" involves the class going around making Christmas better for many people in town. Special mention goes to how they knit a scarf for Giganta, and even bring Gorilla Grodd's parents home for the holidays. It really tugs at the heartstrings.
  • "Ring Me Maybe" has a nice moment of Batgirl encouraging Jessica Cruz to pursue being the new Green Lantern for Earth. She then manages to defeat Sinestro when thinking of her, Supergirl, and Wonder Woman.
  • "Fish Out Of Water" has Wonder Woman being very supportive of Mera, and telling her that she will fit in. Also, when she manages to save Miss Martian from Firefly, she throws her a pool party with help from the other girls.
  • Both "Gone To The Dogs" and "Pets Peeved" end with the pet characters helping their master out of a jam.
  • The ending for "Truth Of The Lasso" is also pretty good. Upon hearing Cheetah's tragic backstory that she's been feeling overshadowed by Wonder Woman and with her inattentive mother, both of which helped lead her to commit the crime of upsetting Giganta and causing city wide panic, she feels pity for her, and just has her doing community service to owe her debt to society. An all loving hero she is.
  • "Nevermore" has a few notable instances. One is Raven's insistence on doing anything to reverse the damage she accidentally caused, even willing to go back to her father if everyone is left alone. Another is Batgirl and Supergirl's bonding moments with her, culminating in trying to keep her here. And then we end with Trigon actually letting her go to Super Hero High, even if he's none the wiser on her intentions.
  • "Tamaranian Dance Club" has two instances of this. The first is the girls' dedication to making Starfire happy. The second is Wonder Woman dancing with Steve Trevor at the end.
  • "Fly By Night" has Wonder Woman, Bumblebee, and Hawkgirl try to sneak into the cafeteria at night when the former forgot her project, and without being caught. In the end, Amanda Waller finds out, but she lets them off the hook for this one since she sneaks in to have ice creams.
  • "By The Yearbook" has Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn as yearbook editors. The former takes heroic pictures while the latter takes more fun silly pictures. Eventually, it's revealed that Harley just wanted to make their times at Super Hero High fun and memorable. That's pretty sweet.
  • "Career Day" has Wonder Woman realize the importance of being a janitor from Parasite when she uses his skills to take down Artemiz. Considering he's a big butt monkey, it's a huge "throw the dog a bone" moment.
