  • When Ash calls his mother about his change, as well as the theory about what his father was, Delia is more concerned with making sure her son is okay than the fact that the man she loved was probably a Pokémon.
    • There's also the fact that despite leaving before Ash was born, his father made sure he and Delia would never want for anything.
    • Again, after LaRousse, Delia is more concerned with Ash's state than the knowledge that not only was the man she loved a Pokémon but Arceus himself.
  • Gary was able to recognize Ash before even talking to him, and it's stated afterward that despite not having reconciled yet talking with his rival was enough to cheer Ash up.
  • Charles Goodshow makes a statement to the Ever Grande Conference officials (copied to the various other leagues) stating that Ash doesn't need any special exemptions to compete, noting "there is no by-law in any Pokémon League against the participation of a Pokémon as a trainer. There is no by-law in any Pokémon League against a trainer having more than six Pokémon on hand, so long as their selection of six Pokémon is locked in before the match begins. There is no by-law in any Pokémon League that a trainer may not be issued a new, valid Trainer Card. And there is certainly no by-law in any Pokémon League that holds the ability to understand one's Pokémon as an unfair advantage." He also makes it clear that any attempt to introduce any such by-laws just to target Ash will earn his immense displeasure.
  • Despite Ash being in the middle of a life-changing revelation, having just found out that his father is the Original One, Ash still takes the time to comfort Rayquaza that despite not being biologically related he's just as much Arceus's son as Ash is.
  • During Groudon and Kyogre's fight, Ash goes out to try and stop them. Not necessarily because of the danger their fight could cause, but because Ash can't really comprehend siblings truly hating each other.
  • While talking with Lance after the scuffle of legends, Ash makes the deliberate decision to call Koraidon and Miraidon his kids, much to their joy.
  • Rayquaza's visit to Ash, not just because of how a Pokémon who professes to prefer solitude was entirely happy to spend time with Ash, but also because of just how willing he is to call Ash brother.
    • During his talk with Rayquaza Ash expresses his fear that their father, who left his mother before he was even born, was lonely.
  • Latias comforting Ash about needing to use the disabled seats.
  • Ash blessing Pikachu as his first Noble Pokémon.
  • Delia immediately accepts Koraidon and Miraidon as her grandchildren when she meets them.
  • Upon seeing Primape again to get training for Koraidon, Ash notes with pride just how well she's been doing at the dojo.
  • Ash using his admin privileges to make the make the Mirage Mew into a living Pokémon, even referring to them as his child in a letter to Mewtwo.
    • Ash quoting Mewtwo and his philosophy on birth when the newly born Mew starts questioning their existence.
  • Ash properly claims Mirage Mew as his third child, which means a trip to Grandma's courtesy of Mewtwo. The trip ends with both Mew and Mewtwo getting their own scarves.
  • May and Max decide to stay in Samiya with Manaphy, at least for a while.
  • Kyogre refering to Ash as "little brother" when assisting protecting Manaphy, along with Miraidon calling Kyogre their aunt.
  • Absol saving Hunter J from Ash's Judgment. Not to help her, but to keep Ash from having a life on his conscience.
    • Speaking of Hunter J, the fact that she mellows out after being turned into a Hisuian Samurott and becomes part of Dawn's team while she was in Hisui is both somewhat heartwarming and a Heel–Face Turn for her.
  • The fact that Walking Wake and Iron Leaves hint at the future relationship between Ash and one of his companions by calling one of them their mother is heartwarming as, because they hadn't been created yet, it suggests that Ash may end up no longer being a Truly Single Parent.
  • Ash is shown to become increasingly upset of how little recognition Giratina gets, leading him to announce himself as her younger brother to the Lucario Kingdom instead of Arceus' son.
