  • When Porthos kills the big ugly guy in the dungeons, it's generally assumed that the contraption that killed him impaled him from both sides. However, upon multiple viewings, it's noticeable that only the bottom half of the device has sharp iron spikes. The other half just appears to be nothing more than a metal grid, no spikes are visible; if anything it just appears to be a closing part of the contraption, like a cage door. Since there are no spikes on the upper-half of the mechanism, it shouldn't have done any further damage to the guard, other than just trapping him in there and yet there is much emphasis that Porthos simply closing the contraption was the finishing blow to the guard (he stops screaming instantly when it hinges shut and the camera lingers on his stunned expression as the life drains out of him) ... how?
    • Similarly to an Iron Maiden, the closing mechanism squashed him fully against the spikes, simultaneously crushing him while impaling him further, his bleeding from the mouth signaling his vitals being brutally ruptured.
