  • The Klingons are initially imprisoned without pretext, which makes them repeatedly state that they did nothing wrong. Didn't they just pick a fight with a Romulan delegation, assault a Starfleet officer and pull a knife on him only a few hours ago? Why were they still allowed to walk around the station in the first place?
  • The Romulans are well-known for powering their warp drives with a "quantum singularity". Since one shows up on the scanners when Romulans are on the station, the crew should have put 2 and 2 together.
  • The Romulans attack DS9 because they want to Leave No Witnesses. Wouldn't the Bajorans, who live in the same system and presumably maintain constant contact with the station, be witnesses too?
  • The Klingons' mission on DS9 was to spy on the Romulans. Why would they start a completely unprovoked fight their targets, thus ruining their mission?
