• In the ending where Catherine was the real murderer in the game and the motive was the murder of her mother years ago who was it that killed her mother?
  • Unknown, but what IS known is that in the audio file Falconetti made, Catherine's mother switched with Claire in the game they were playing, so Claire was the intended target.
• Again for the ending where Catherine is the real murderer, why did Catherine attack herself? At the time no one would have had any reason to be suspicious of her, it put her position of having people look through her memories and possessions and it didn't actually help murder anyone.
  • Considering the fact that Falconetti is the only one to push for the idea of decking into her mind, and if it wasn't for him Catherine would have been allowed to stay virtually untouched in her coma. This would put her completely below suspicion, and even if there was any on her, there was no way for them to directly question her. Assuming she intentionally put herself in the coma, all it would take is setting up her own possessions to point the blame directly on the others and even then, it wouldn't be a problem.
    • That seems like quite a leap of faith for Catherine since it relied on her doctor being considerably less than competent.
    • Even a competent Doctor wouldn't automatically assume that just because one of their coma patients brain activity occasion spikes that they must be connected to a murder happening across town around the same time.
    • The dead programmer mentions that his trap for attacking the mind of the Ripper is in the virtual Whitechapel. He may have done something that mentally damaged Catherine.
• Falconetti being the Ripper makes even less sense than Catherine. His motives for helping Quinlan in the first place are learning more about the Ripper and to piss off Magnotta by helping someone else solve the case. However, if Falconetti is the Ripper, there's nothing more to learn and Magnotta might be upset over losing his bounty, but he'd be overjoyed to see Falconetti dead.
