• How could nobody figure out Luffy's relation to Garp when they have the same middle initial and family name?
  • Depends on who you’re talking about. Most people know him as “Garp the Hero” or "Vice-Admiral Garp" but probably don’t know his full name.
  • It's unusual but not impossible to have the same last name as someone unrelated to you - and middle names usually aren't hereditary.
  • The same happens in the manga. However, in the live-action it's justified as Luffy is still a nobody without a bounty while, in the manga, this is revealed in Water 7, when Luffy is about to receive his third bounty's upgrade.
• How does everyone know that Roger's treasure is called the One Piece? In the manga and anime he announced it at his execution. He didn't do that here.
  • Perhaps it is a nickname coined by the pirates and adventurers themselves seeking to find his treasure.
• During Arlong's speech about fishman superiority in episode 7, what is going on with the random cuts during his sentences when the camera is focused solely on his face? They couldn't make each of Arlong's statements in one shot?
