  • If all Bletch needed to do was taste the Borax to expose it for what it really was, then why did he need somebody else to snort it? I mean, if Dennis hadn't walked in at that moment then Barry, who's clearly the muscles of the trio, would've suffered the same fate as Dennis! Does Bletch not really care what happens to his goons?
    • Seeing as he was indifferent when he saw Barry had his whole head bitten off by Mr. Big's giant spider mook Yeah, Bletch really doesn't care what happens to his goons.
      • Well, I kinda figured that given the spider like you said. Not sure why I asked when it was pretty obvious. But that still doesn't explain why he couldn't have just tasted the borax without anyone sniffing it.
      • It's kinda hinted that no one likes Dennis because even by everyone's standards he is a disgusting pervert, Bletch thought he would give Dennis a ironic death by testing the new stuff and he was right.
      • But that was after Dennis walked in. Before, Bletch said, "Barry, do me a line." And then Barry started pouring the stuff onto a tray, and it seemed he was gonna sniff it. So Bletch intended for Barry to sniff it, but then had Dennis do it since the aardvark walked in by coincidence. If he really was concerned enough to have someone other than Barry do it, then why have someone sniff it at all? After Dennis dies he tastes it, and it would've been much easier for him to do that before.
      • It's possible that he was going to force Louie to snort it - from Bletch's dialogue, he clearly suspects a set-up of some kind. Louie was most likely doomed either way.
  • Heidi took the machine gun from the cabinet in Bletch's office. However, it was shown earlier that Bletch keeps that cabinet hidden and has to push a button under his desk to reveal it. Soooo.... Bletch just left the cabinet open, not thinking anybody would walk in while he was gone and find out he was a criminal?
  • What is the origin for Sidney's pet animals? What are they supposed to be? Why do they exist?
    • Well, we don't know what they are, but from a narrative perspective, the reason they exist is so they can be killed off early on to establish exactly what kind of movie this is.
