Headscratchers / Magical Boy

  • Is it really true none of Aurora descendants has ever been (biologically) male? Seems kind of convenient, don't you think? All the descendants only had one girl and never bothered with more kids?
    • Either one of three things are at play; the role skips generations when there are no daughters, some magical-genes prevent any sons from being born (hence why Hikari could not fathom having a boy) or there have been male goddesses and the females ones outnumber them historically to the point of ignoring them all-together (or maybe cismen react differently to having goddess powers and go crazy, I dunno).
    • Plus if Hikari is a good enough example to go by, it is likely that their family has taken great pains to ensure they would have at least one girl take on the legacy, having many children and ensuring that the family would have at least one female heir via their own children and nieces. And with the reveal by Aurora herself that the whole "gender-conforming" thing is a just a big fat arbitrary lie brought on by her descendants trying to make sense of all of it, it's possible that there were male heirs at some point and the ancestors kept it under-wraps or ignored any potential they could have had due to religious fanaticism.
