  • The addition of new emotions raises a LOT more questions than it answers.
    • For starters, what's even the point of a lot of them? Anxiety really isn't much different from Fear, and Envy (and, to a degree, Embarrassment)...personality-wise, isn't that kind of what Disgust was?
    • In the first movie, it was shown that the original five emotions manifested themselves in Riley's head right when she first felt them (e. g. in her first moment of happiness, Joy was born, and when Riley first cried, hello Sadness). And from the trailers, Riley is thirteen in the sequel. Do you really expect me to believe that Riley never felt anxiety, embarrassment, or envy before? I mean, that scene in the first movie where Riley was introducing herself at her new school and ended up having an emotional breakdown. Wouldn't that have been a good time for Embarrassment to manifest himself?
    • Also in the first movie, we saw inside the minds of Riley's parents (read: grown and fully developed adults), where they had just the original five emotions, with no Envy, Ennui, Embarrassment, or Anxiety. What gives?
