In "The Riddle of the Sphinx", Prof. Squires apparently fills the crossword with information regarding Nina's plan. However he also includes a very detailed premonition of how her body will be dumped and discovered, but Squires didn't know Nina would be killed until after Tyler arrives and explains his plan. So is it all a coincidence?

In "Sardines", how did Pip get his hands on the key to the wardrobe? Obviously he would know the location of the house and the wardrobe but surely the family and whatever staff they have wouldn’t just leave the key lying around. There’s no mention of anyone having broken in and the only reason Pip was able to sneak in was by pretending to be someone else, so how did he get the key?
- It's pretty common to just leave a wardrobe key in the door. Who cares about locking their wardrobe?
La Couchette – Why was Yeves in berth 9B?
- There are a variety of possible reasons. Yeves could have misread or misremembered his assigned berth or was so exhausted when he arrived, that he collapsed into the closest empty one, or quite simply not been the sort to not particularly care it wasn’t officially assigned to him. As we know nothing about who they were it's impossible to gage if this was out of character for them or simply a moment of terrible luck.
