• How exactly does Taylor get a sports bra after she transitions to female? She lives in a house full of men, and her one sister is too young to wear bras. She also couldn't have borrowed from her girlfriend Kat because Kat is probably a very different size than her. Taylor lives in a conservative rural town, so she also couldn't have bought one herself.

• Does Taylor meet the human definition of a trans woman? She seems to have been raised as a girl, forced into presenting as a man, and then transitions back into a girl - which makes the book more of a metaphor for detransitioning than transitioning. Though she could have transitioned as a young child, and then been forced to present as a male, which actually makes the story darker than if she was cis.
