Headscratchers / Dracula's Daughter

  • Why Sandor looks away from the cross when Marya is holding it in the burning Dracula's body scene? He is human. Technically seeing the sacred symbols will no affect him.
    • Presumably he is a "demi-vampire"? Maybe he drink a bit of Marya's blood, but without turning him completely into a vampire? He isn't immortal, as bullets can kill him. Probably after his service, she promised him to make fully vampire, with the immortality and many supernatural powers. He is like a more manipulative Renfield, probably her familiar.
  • Marya drinks tea in the London party. Why? She is supposed to be a vampire.
    • In some cultures, vampires can drink and eat like humans. But only the blood sustain their immortality.
    • Maybe she did not drink the tea offscreen? In her interactions with Garth, she is hiding her true nature as a vampire.
    • The novelization implied strongly that she was a dhampyr. A mix between human and vampire. Dhampyrs can drink and eat human food. That also would explain why she is not a Complete Monster like her father, as her human part doesn't want to kill anymore and want to make really part of the mortal world.
