  • If C.C. gets her way and Lelouch ends up marrying several women, where would Kaguya fit under the "Worthy Reward" law? As a wife or a mistress?
    • It's unclear whether Kaguya's status among what remains of the Japanese leadership would qualify her for wife or if she'd be just considered a mistress, but given her tastes according to C.C., she'd probably be happy with either position.
    • Well, Kaguya is technically an Honorary Britannian, so maybe that would make her eligible as a wife, legally speaking. And if that isn't enough, consider that as far as Britannia knows, Kaguya is one of the leaders of NAC — oligarchs who sold out to Britannia after Japan's defeat to keep themselves in positions of economic power under the new regime. It's likely that Britannian authorities would let her get away with marrying a Britannian husband just because she's such a rich and prominent member of the Les Collaborateurs.
    • Before all that, consider that Kaguya marrying or even openly dating someone would be a huge deal In-Universe. Britannians knows her as the heiress to the Sumeragi Heavy Industries, whereas she's practically nobility among the Japanese because of her lineage. That would mean lots and lots of unwanted attention focusing on "Lelouch Lamperouge" if she approaches him that way, which is something he can't afford while in hiding from the Royal Family. Kaguya getting engaged to Zero on the other hand...
    • Also complicating matters is Kaguya’s status as Heiress of the Chrysanthemum Throne, meaning she is more or less the deposed JAPANESE EMPRESS. Now, granted, Britannia would not recognize that title as legitimate and Kaguya’s status is still a secret even among the other NAC members, but a minor Britannian Noble being in a relationship with either a member of the “Eleven Elite” or a recently re-powered foreign royal would raise major red flags about Lelouch. If Kaguya wanted a recognized relationship with LELOUCH, not Zero, she would either have to keep her royal status a secret (which would be too powerful of a morale/propaganda tool to NOT use), OR Lelouch would have to reveal himself as disinherited royalty. Neither of those options are really GOOD, especially since both Britannia and the Japanese people would object to such a union (the Britannians because one of their princes, disinherited he may be, is married to a “lowly Number”, and the Japanese because their Empress is married to one of the royals whose influence helped make their lives hell for years). No, at this point it would be a much better move for Kaguya to have a public relationship with Zero, while acting as a secret consort/mistress for Lelouch. Sure, that would be a bit risky, especially if Kaguya ends up pregnant with a half-Britannian child, but it’s less of a risk than Lelouch and Kaguya publicly being in a relationship.

  • What on Earth is Theta Base? From what little clues we’ve been given in the story, it’s supposed to be Lelouch’s hidden ace, yes, but that’s all we really know about it. The only other clues that we have are that the Ashfords were the ones who built it, that Lelouch renovated and repaired it at some point, that it apparently has facilities to maintain and customize Knightmares, and that Lelouch has been keeping several of his projects there. Beyond that, nothing. We don’t even know WHERE it is, only the assumption that an entrance is somewhere accessible from Ashford. For that matter, WHY is it called Theta Base? Theta is the EIGHTH letter in the Greek alphabet, right after Eta. The Ashfords (or, at least Reuben and Milly), seem to be very reasonable and not really prone to just giving things random names. So, ASSUMING that Theta Base was named because it’s the eighth such facility...then where are the other seven?
