  • What were Makarov's motives for attacking Verdansk in 2019? He presumably wasn't framing the ULF for it since his men were disguised as Verdansk police officers and look, well, Kastovian or Russian, as well as getting thrown into prison for his crimes so they know it was him. Did he really just hate Verdansk's football team that much?
    • Given he’s a Russian Ultranationalist, he probably has negative opinions about Kastovian independence, perhaps not unlike Russian ultranationalists position on Ukrainian independence.
  • How did Shepherd get captured and brought to Siberia of all places in that sort a time?
    • Wasn’t it mentioned that Konni captured a Shadow Company operative? It was stated that he broke, which caused him to give up Shepherd.
  • How is Shadow Company still operating? Even if the missile affair was still classified, committing a massacre in a friendly country that makes the Nisour Square incident look like an accident would have caused Shadow Company to lose its contracts and shine an uncomfortable spotlight on its activities at least, and at best it would uncover the conspiracy anyway, cause Shadow Company to cease existing, and put a warrant out for Graves' arrest.
  • So, why was it that TF141 could not roll up Milena Romanova like they did with Valeria or Andrei Nolan? She manages the finances of Konni and Makarov, and the records they dug up from hacking her computers would certainly be more than enough to prove she’s in league with a known terrorist. Besides, she could’ve easily snitched on them to Makarov.
  • How did Konni get their hands on nuclear material for the Channel Tunnel bomb when they only extracted chemical weapons from Urzikstan's nuclear power plant? What happened to the nerve gas that they already stole? Plus, an underwater tunnel that they planned to collapse would be a terrible place to put a dirty bomb since it the material would be trapped and diluted by being at the bottom of the sea.
    • That's assuming the tunnel wouldn't collapse, which, considering the size of the bomb, probably wouldn't happen. Makarov may have instead wanted to contaminate the Tunnel with radioactive material and render it unusable for a long time.
  • .So, whats the plan for the Channel Tunnel? The other plans by Makarov indicates he wants Russia to take back former soviet territory through the false flag attacks on Verdansk and Uzkistan, but what about the Channel Tunnel? Its just to distract the West or it would also be pinned on ULF?
    • Who says it can't be both? Pin the blame on the ULF while hitting Western Europe, in particular Britain, with a devastating attack.
  • So is Konni backed by the Kremlin or what? They apparently have tacit support from ultranationalists in the government, but to have so much manpower, weaponry, and other resources implies acting at the behest of the Russian government (like IRL Wagner Group). However, their disavowal of Barkov and MW2019 Spec Ops also implies that Russian policy is contradictory of Konni's actions, which involve killing hundreds of Russian citizens and soldiers.
    • Modern Warfare 2019's ending had Laswell warn Price (Viktor) Zakhaev was seeking "Barkov's throne". Chances are, it was Zakhaev and his allies in the Russian government who allowed the Urzikstan Liberation Force, the CIA, and SAS to eliminate Barkov to make sure they're the ones dictating Russia's foreign policy towards Urzikstan. After Zakhaev's death (depicted in Warzone), Makarov simply took over this faction of the Russian government but he intended on framing the ULF as terrorists and using the chemical weapons Barkov used. As for Konni Group, they act as a mercenary group publicly while being the secret military wing of the Ultranationalists.
    • Yuri also tells Laswell that he believes the Kremlin is not involved with helping out Makarov either, and given that he shares everything he knows with Laswell on Makarov, there's very little reason for him not to tell the truth here
