Headscratchers / Brother Bear 2

• Why do the hunters hunt the bears given the events of the first movie? Nita knew about Kenai’s transformation, you’d expect the rest of the village to know too.
  • Kenai moved away from his tribe after retransforming into a bear, so the hunters are from a different tribe (which explains why Denahi was not present at Kenai and Nita's wedding).
  • Perhaps Koda and Kenai return to Kenai's village at certain points each year and just aren't there yet because it's not that time of year, hence their absence? Other than "Big plans to go to Crowberry Ridge", we don't ever actually learn why the two Bears were travelling to Crowberry Ridge when the film begins, after all. Perhaps they're on their way back to the village via Crowberry Ridge (perhaps because it's safer in winter or other routes are blocked due to snow/ice/etc) and then Nita interferes and stops their journey?
    • Actually, the hunters are from Nita's village.
  • Plus, just because they've heard the story doesn't mean they believe it.
  • Not to mention they probably didn't known that this was Kenai.
