** Perhaps Koda and Kenai return to Kenai's village at certain points each year and just aren't there yet because it's not that time of year, hence their absence? Other than "Big plans to go to Crowberry Ridge", we don't ever actually learn ''why'' the two Bears were travelling to Crowberry Ridge when the film begins, after all. Perhaps they're on their way ''back'' to the village ''via'' Crowberry Ridge (perhaps because it's safer in winter or other routes are blocked due to snow/ice/etc) and then Nita interferes and stops their journey?

* Why do the hunters hunt the bears given the events of the first movie? Nita knew about Kenai’s transformation, you’d expect the rest of the village to know too.
