• Why was Glimmer declared a "designer" at the end? She didn't design the dress, she accidentally transformed it.
  • I guess it’s because of the transformation she gave the dress after using her magic right (because earlier in the film, her magic had little to no effect because she didn’t charge it up completely). She also transformed the limos into horse-drawn carriages at the end. So, thanks to her power to transform things including dresses, she is declared a designer.
  • It might be because she's giving them an entirely new look without changing their function; the dress is still a dress, and the limos-turned-carriages are still forms of transportation. The difference is that Glimmer has redesigned them in her own style.
• On the part of Jaqueline and Delphine: why are they so determined to close Millicent's when they only gained their popularity by copying from the store? It seems detrimental to them as well.
  • It seems to be a case of Didn't Think This Through on Jacqueline's part. At one point, Delphine lampshades that they haven't been able to make any new designs recently, since with Millicent's closing down, they haven't had anything to copy.
