Go To

The Fury of a Shattered Mirror is an incredibly ambitious melding of two very verbose and funny properties, and it's often hilarious.

  • Harry's Skills are already twenty-four voices in his head, and they're fully in the foreground since there aren't a lot of external people to talk to. Add the Narrator and however many Voices he picks up, and it can turn to chaos in there.

Chapter I: The Hero and The Princess (v2)

  • Savoir-Faire is boosted and Volition is suppressed thanks to an internalized Thought, so Harry has a sudden turn to ultra-liberalism and demands payment if he's going to assassinate someone. The Narrator immediately exploits this by repurposing "The Evidence" into a promissory note.

Chapter II: The Spectre

  • Because Harry tried to angle to get paid, instead of just getting the Voice of the Cold from killing the Princess, he also gets the Voice of the Opportunist, who rapidly annoys and confuses most of the Skills.
  • A failed Rhetoric check causes Harry to wonder out loud if the Spectre is the "Spectre of Communism". She, and all the Voices, are bewildered.

Chapter II: The Nightmare

  • Rhetoric objects to the Narrator saying that the Princess's voice "prances", and the Narrator snipes that if Rhetoric doesn't tell him how to do his job, he won't tell it how to do its. Immediately and without argument Rhetoric says "Deal."
