• After finding the eponymous shoes at the start of Monday, the game then segues into Elise's "I Want" Song and the increasingly fraught imagery involved, which sets the tone for the rest of the game. It's presented as an out-of-universe song meant as player spectacle... and then we Fade In to Elise standing the village square, surrounded by suspicious townsfolk, and Father Hans asking what the heck she's on about. It turns out Elise sung that entire song in-universe to a packed church, and you have to manage the fallout.
