Funny / Ghostwire: Tokyo

  • The entire Dire Straits side mission. Most of the ghosts with Unfinished Business have fairly serious or at least reasonable needs for you to fulfill before they move on, like reuniting a woman with her lost child or a guy who really wants to show someone an oni he saw. This mission, however, sees you trying to help a man who really needs a restroom (never mind that he no longer has a body), and for some reason he really needs the one that is occupied by another ghost that is making ungodly noises. So you have to help that other ghost, whose unfulfilled need is that he really needs you to bring him toilet paper, only to discover when you deliver it that there was a full roll of toilet paper in the stall with him all along. Even better, while KK, who has basically Seen It All, regards the whole matter with incredulous disgust, Akito takes the whole matter surprisingly seriously.
  • In the side mission A Full House, the spirit of a female "content creator" asks you to check out her apartment, which she claims has gotten "too spiritual". Visiting the place reveals that she's a cam-girl who had a gimmick posing with Straw Dolls (like the ones used to curse people), and the apartment is full of Spectres heavily implied to be her various simps, hiding in places like her closet and her shower. Creepy? Yes. But also very, very funny once you realize what is going on.
  • Sometimes, when feeding a dog, KK will voice his displeasure. While the English track renders it as more a sound of annoyance or disgust, in Japanese he lets out the most undignified squeal of fear. This is a man who reacts to the myriad supernatural threats with a "seen it all" attitude.
  • Occasionally when entering the mini-marts, KK will ask if you can buy some cigarettes as he is starting to crave them. Akito obviously refuses.
    • Then when entering one again later on, Akito will predict what KK is about to ask for again. Apparently sharing his body with KK means that the nicotine withdrawal is affecting him too. Though he still refuses to get them.
  • Some of the conversations between KK and Akito are also quite funny with the generation gap between them. With KK expressing confusion about 'streaming' and other modern things.
  • Leave the game idling for a minute or two and KK might begin whistling. Akito reacts with confusion and then amusement at hearing whistling noises emanating from himself that he has no control over.
  • Eating outside of combat has a small chance of causing Akito to briefly choke, which is a bit alarming until he recovers, when he and KK both have a wry laugh about how embarrassing it would be if - given everything that's going on - eating a snack too fast were to kill him.
