Anyone who tries to go and touch the statue (which would cancel out the trap) would get turned to stone because they just can't resist the Gorgon's voice telling them to look at her face. When Lute steps up to save everyone, the Gorgon statue tries to tempt him into looking at her face to petrify him, too. However, Lute kept up his Male Gaze and focused on looking at her breasts. The statue angrily tells him not to look at her breasts and look at her face. When Lute casually denies her demand and continues to get closer, the statue began to panic and shout at Lute to stay away. She screams once Lute grabbed her breasts, cancelling out the trap and freeing everyone.
