Protagonist

    Lute Hende
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kf_lute_1.jpg

Main protagonist of Funbag Fantasy and its sequels. An unassuming, breast-obsessed man whom everyone expected to fade into obscurity after he graduated in last place from the Shoenburg Knight Academy and was hastily assigned as far away from the capital as possible. After getting relegated to Boan, a chance meeting with Shamsiel the succubus changed his life forever. Lute is soon involved with the country's affairs and begins rising up in prestige while amassing a harem of busty women.

  • Accidental Pornomancer: While his internal monologue has him desire all of his eventual love interests at first sight, only a few of his romantic relationships are instigated on his end. Most of the women proposition him almost immediately (Shamsiel, Roxanne), proposition him after he helps them out of a bind (Gladys, Estoria), or have their first romp with him instigated by someone else for their purposes (Luceria, Emeralia).
  • Achievements in Ignorance: Make up about half his MO; there are too many instances across the series to list. One example is when he unknowingly encounters the prince of a nation that his own is in conflict with, accidentally volunteers to take part in a jousting match against him by raising a hand to ask a question, and wins by turning his body to look at women in the audience.
  • All-Loving Hero: He can forgive anyone who isn't completely unredeemable.
  • Amnesiac Hero: Come Sideboob Story 2, which opens with him washing up on shore with no memories.
  • Born Lucky: It is left ambiguous how many of his lucky breaks (e.g. letting Gladys out of the dungeon right before Wan Coan goes down to kill her) were actually him being aware of more than he narrates, but Lute would still be dead thirty times over by the end of the series if not for an astronomical amount of good luck. Special mention goes to betting his life on a game of chess against a grandmaster & winning by making random moves while under the effects of laxatives, and betting his life on beating forty members of an enemy naval crew in coin tosses & winning every round.
  • Brutal Honesty: Lute is more blunt than most, contributing to his original reputation for being vulgar and unworthy. His inappropriate remarks are usually sexual; they're rarely insulting since Lute tends to find the best in people, but he does get to the point when someone is being excessively selfish or stupid.
Lute: Do you honestly think I'd kill the king? Especially after I banged the Princess?
  • Camp Cook: He proves superior to Isis at getting and cooking food during their forest expedition, one reason why Isis has to confront her initial opinion of him. Isis notes that even at the academy he appeared especially skilled at field survival, and wonders why the instructors scored him lower than herself, Motaire, and Bobon.
  • Chick Magnet: Few are attracted to Lute by his looks since he's, as others put it, "plain-faced". However, they are attracted to not only his deeds, but also his sexual abilities. Once the ladies have sex with Lute, they become addicted to it and want more.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: It might as well be a Running Gag across the series how often someone writes off Lute before he embarrasses them either by defeating them or bailing them out of trouble.
  • Eyes Out of Sight: His red hair always covers his eyes.
  • Forgotten First Meeting: He'd encountered Shamsiel before when he was too young to remember it, spotting her out his window and waving to her. She was flattered, but surprised as she was in her invisible mode.
  • Happily Married: Lute is married to Shamsiel, Roxanne, and Luceria by the time of the first Sideboob Story, then later married to Gladys by the end. Once Sideboob Story 2 comes around, Lute is also married to Rosalyn, Estoria, Aphrodia, Isis, and Serebria. A later fan disc shows Lute also marries Emerelia.
  • Has a Type: Take a guess.
  • Heroic Lineage: It's revealed in the Girapon Woods branch of the first game that Lute is a demonic king, but as that branch isn't canon the memory doesn't stick, and he doesn't learn it again until Sideboob Story 2.
  • Humble Hero: Lute doesn't put on airs, and is usually content with what he's got, with possibilities of demotion or even death never rattling him. Multiple times in the first game Shamsiel calls him a big-shot who'll find his way to the top, and gets pouty when he doesn't agree.
  • Magnetic Hero: One of Lute's best qualities is his ability to get on people's good sides even after a negative first impression. When he can't use his guile or outrageous luck to escape trouble, odds are he has a friend who can help.
  • Me's a Crowd: Can do this with split seeds. But only for sex. No explanation for this is ever provided.
  • Nerves of Steel: No matter how much peril he is in, Lute finds that he isn't afraid and just has a feeling that everything will work out. Which it does, since he can come up with suitable plans under pressure and his luck takes care of the rest. His lack of any anxiety may be part of why he's so candid about what he's thinking.
  • Non-Action Guy: With the conspicuous exception of Shamsiel's ending in the first game where he unlocks his demonic powers and annihilates a transformed Prince Bobon, Lute rarely solves his problems by getting into fights. And while he has a good aptitude for tactical command as Mask, he generally leaves even that role to people who are better at it.
  • Really Gets Around: Thirteen partners by the end of the series. Fourteen, if you count the JP-only Irina.
  • Special Odd Hand: The Hallowed Hand. It doesn't bear any marks which make it appear different from a normal human hand except in Shamsiel's ending where Lute awakens his full demonic powers, but it is very powerful. It punches assassins who are trying to attack Lute in his sleep, shatters poisoned beverages before Lute can drink them, and aids in his many successes at sports and games of chance.
  • Universally Beloved Leader: After Lute becomes king, his subjects are beyond devoted to him.

Lute's Harem

    Shamsiel Shaharl

Perky little devil.
Click to see her in Sideboob Story 1 and 2.
Click to see her in her queenly dress.

Voiced by: Yuka Kanematsu aka Miyu Inoue (Japanese)

  • Bust: 100cm K-cup
  • Waist: 55cm
  • Hips: 80cm

A pure-blooded succubus, Shamsiel is whimsical and mischievous. She amuses herself by spying on & teasing people, but her greatest joy is sex. Her central hobby is jumping men and pleasuring them with her body to collect and savor as much of their release as she can before they inevitably perish from her assault.

Thankfully for the kingdom, she met Lute who does not die so easily and gives her plenty of what she wants, leading her to accompany him and redirect her appetite toward him alone.

Becomes Lute's first queen.

  • Action Girl: Shamsiel is a powerful succubus capable in a fight, be it draining her targets or using her flight to drop bombs.
  • Catchphrase: "I'm gonna squeeze you dry later." Spoken either seductively or faux-angrily.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Has a small protruding fang that is mostly visible when she's smiling, reinforcing her playfully naughty personality.
  • Insistent Terminology: She's not a demon or a devil, she's a succubus. Su-ccu-bus!
  • Invisibility: Can make herself invisible to humans.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: At least after she reforms and her advances are directed at someone who can take it.
  • Moment Killer: Zig-zagged. She makes sure no one interrupts Lute when he's having sex even if it's with another woman, but the second the deed is done, she's happy to make her appearance and bring Lute back to Earth by teasing him about what he did.
  • Nominal Hero: Shamsiel is a protagonist only because Lute is. Every move she makes which does not involve eating people or creating chaos, and many more which do involve those things, is done just to help her benevolent fountain of love move up in the world.
  • No-Sell: Non-enchanted weapons can't hurt her at all.
  • Reformed, but Not Tamed: She stops indiscriminately killing people after joining up with Lute, but her cheeky personality remains, and she still drains the fluids of a pair of failed assassins while Lute is asleep. She reins herself in further when she's queen, especially after Sideboob Story has opponents of her marriage to Lute try to discredit both of them with this trope.
  • Sexy Backless Outfit: Her leotard exposes her entire back. Justified, as she has wings.
  • She Cleans Up Nicely: Downplayed as she's clearly sexy to begin with, but Sideboob Story provides her with a beautiful white dress which gives her an elegance and sense of prestige that people don't normally associate with her. She wears it when people need to be reminded that she is a true queen.
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: Gold eyes for a powerful succubus. They even glow in the dark.

    Roxanne De Desir
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/roxanne_upper_body.png
Flower in a wasteland.
Click to see her in Sideboob Story 1 and 2.

Voiced by: Kazuha aka Hasumi Itou (Japanese)

  • Bust: 105cm K-cup
  • Waist: 61cm
  • Hips: 88cm

A mature and elegant noblewoman, Roxanne grew up in Boan after moving there from Shoenburg as a child. She eventually married Boan's prefect, but he became cold & distant after learning of her family's lack of wealth or prestige. The resulting years of loneliness were especially crushing as she is a loving and affectionate woman by nature.

Not long after Lute comes to Boan, she kindles a romantic relationship with him despite the risk of execution for adultery, and they only become closer as her husband is jailed for treason.

Becomes Lute's second queen.

  • Birds of a Feather: With Luceria in Sideboob Story, as they're both nobles-turned-queens with domestic interests and previously lonely love lives.
  • Cleavage Window: For the entirety of her K-cup cleavage.
  • D-Cup Distress: Initially, Roxanne was ashamed of her big breasts due to her asshole husband Irboyne calling her ugly because of it (as he is a lolicon), as well as how she lactates despite not being pregnant. After meeting Lute and receiving the love she never had in her first marriage, Roxanne now has Big-Breast Pride as she is happy Lute loves her and her big milk-filled breasts.
  • Demoted to Extra: She isn't enormously present even in the original game outside of the act devoted to her, but the sequels never feature her as a major player at all. With no desire to get involved in more politics after months running Boan in her ex-husband's stead, she has little to offer the plot besides moral support.
  • Feminine Women Can Cook: Settles into a simple role in the kitchen while living with Lute in Shoenburg.
  • Graceful Ladies Like Purple: Both of her outfits are almost entirely lavender.
  • Nice Girl: She is a soft-spoken and gentle person.
  • Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: Waist-length black hair, fair skin.
  • Sexy Backless Outfit: Roxanne's top merely covers her front.
  • Sexy Slit Dress: Switches to one in the sequels, like Luceria.
  • Spanner in the Works: After Lute gets framed and jailed for King Hagel's murder, Roxanne makes an unannounced visit to Shoenburg where she learns of the situation, not believing it. Shamsiel finds her and whisks Roxanne off into the castle where she formally introduces herself to Roxanne, Luceria, and Isis, putting together a plan to help Lute. Turns out Roxanne was the perfect candidate to pretend to be Luceria (due to their breast sizes being close) while the real one sneaks off to recruit Gladys and her army.
  • Sympathetic Adulterer: She begins her relationship with Lute while she's still married, as her husband has no interest in her and is actively trying to manipulate she and Lute into starting a relationship so he can have an excuse to get rid of her. He also happens to be seeing other people himself and planning to betray the kingdom out of a desire for more influence.

    Luceria von Diamante
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/luceria_upper_body.png
Edelland's forbidden fruit.
Click to see her in Sideboob Story 1 and 2.

Voiced by: Konoha aka Yukina Fujimori (Japanese)

  • Bust: 110cm M-cup
  • Waist: 58cm
  • Hips: 82cm

Princess of the Kingdom of Edelland, Luceria is a kind but sheltered girl who has lived an uneventful life in Shoenburg Castle without any friends besides Emeralia. She is known for having the largest bust in Edelland.

She develops a crush on Lute after he resolves the civil war & adamantly protects Luceria's "big sis" Gladys from harsh punishment. They begin a romantic relationship when Lute is assigned as her sword instructor.

Becomes Lute's third queen.

  • Birds of a Feather: With Roxanne in Sideboob Story, as they're both nobles-turned-queens with domestic interests and previously lonely love lives.
  • Demoted to Extra: She isn't enormously present even in the original game outside of the act devoted to her, but the sequels never feature her as a major player at all. With no political or military experience and no intention of getting any, she has little to offer the plot besides moral support.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She has the youth, beauty, tenderness, and innocence to easily fulfill this trope.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Luceria is half-nymph, hence the generous bust. Her heritage means that any human who beds her will not survive with their sanity intact, and that once her sexual appetite is awakened she becomes as insatiable as Shamsiel.
  • Insecure Love Interest: Downplayed. As she's used to having the largest bust out of everyone she knows, every time Lute gets a new lover she worries that it's because their breasts are bigger than hers.
  • Morality Pet: For Emeralia, as Luceria is the one person she regularly interacts with who cares about her. While it is unclear how much of Emeralia's affection for Luceria prior to the king's murder was genuine, being forsaken by the normally-timid princess was a major factor in Emeralia's breakdown and Heel–Face Turn.
  • Princess Classic: Luceria is the only example in the entire series, even with conflicts between royalty taking center stage in just about every game. She's kind, timid, and sheltered; she has the long hair & refined dress, no real role in governing, and no fighting ability. The only unusual qualities she possesses are an absurdly-large, mostly-uncovered chest and an overwhelming sex drive once her switch is flipped.
  • Princesses Prefer Pink: Every outfit she's seen in is almost entirely pink.
  • Sexy Slit Dress: Switches to one in the sequels, like Roxanne.
  • Spoiled Sweet: Grew up in the castle with all she could ever want, and she's as kind and innocent as they come. Very devoted to the friends she makes, as well. Compare that to her half-brother.
  • World's Most Beautiful Woman: Has this reputation in Edelland, largely thanks to her bosom.

    Gladys Von Wackenheim
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gladys_upper_body.png
Finest commander in the land.
Click to see her in Sideboob Story 1 and 2.

Voiced by: Yutaka Saki aka Yuki Sakata (Japanese)

  • Bust: 96cm I-cup
  • Waist: 60cm
  • Hips: 90cm

The fiercest warrior in the kingdom, Gladys grew up learning combat and tactics from her father, and inherited leadership of his rebellious knights after he passed. Her skills in both swordplay and chess are unmatched.

Becomes Lute's fourth queen.

  • The Ace: She's a Master Swordswoman, a superb army commander, a chess grandmaster, and beloved by her subordinates, all of which she takes pride in without letting it go to her head. After Lute becomes king, people who underestimate him attribute his success to Gladys.
  • Action Girl: Top swordfighter in the kingdom.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Her lightly-tanned skin is the darkest in the cast until Sideboob Story 2 introduces Serebria.
  • Badass Cape: So wide that it wraps around to her front.
  • Best Her to Bed Her:
    • Says as much when meeting up with Lute in the chapel.
Gladys: "If you want me, then you'll have to defeat me. If you break my army, then I'll be yours."
      Lute: "Oooo, sounds hard."
Gladys: "Then you'd best give up now. I only bend to men who can best me."
    • Indeed, after Gladys loses to Lute in chess and is captured, she becomes intrigued enough by him that while locked up she invites him to ravish her in one more contest, of sexual endurance. After losing a second time, Gladys falls in love with Lute.
Gladys: (smiling blissfully) "Release these shackles. I won't defy you any more. I forever submit myself to you. You've dominated me in two separate battles. You own me."
      Lute: "Own you–"
Gladys: "I'll never draw against you. I'll never kill you. You have conquered me wholly. I'm your woman."
  • Breakout Character: The first game has her go back to Vunderbalt after the act centered around her is over, and she returns only for the finale. But Sideboob Story keeps her by Lute's side for the majority of the game, making her the second most prominent returnee behind Shamsiel, and gives her her own ending when the first game didn't so much as give her her own section in the CG gallery. She's even on every variant of Sideboob Story cover art.
  • Dude Magnet: Gladys is the only one among Lute's various queens and paramours to be openly coveted by someone other than Lute across all three games: Motaire in Funbag Fantasy, Argent in Sideboob Story, and Sakho in Sideboob Story 2.
  • Good All Along: She and her father had always supported the king's reforms; starting a rebellion against the crown was his way of bringing as many reactionaries under his wing as he could to stop them from running amok while the reforms were being implemented. When Gladys succeeded her father, she intended to hold out until her foes were led by someone whom she could be certain was competent and trustworthy, and she found that in Lute when he defeated her.
  • Graceful Loser: In the days before her match against Lute, she and just about everyone else firmly believed that her defeat was impossible. Regardless, after losing, she hands herself over as promised and asks her soldiers not to make trouble in her absence.
  • Hero Antagonist: For a bit in Sideboob Story 2, as the amnesiac Lute ends up in Hillsland, which is in conflict with Fronce, which is aligned with Edelland.
  • Insecure Love Interest: During Sideboob Story. Despite considering herself Lute's true wife, she still had not yet married him at all, and over time she becomes worried that his feelings for her aren't true, especially after enemy agents spread rumors to that effect. She keeps her doubts hidden for the most part, but eventually reveals everything to Lute when they become too much to bear. The two of them do marry by the end, and one ending finishes on a still from the wedding.
  • Master Swordsman: Best in Edelland.
  • Rank Scales with Asskicking: Her role as commander of the rebel army may be inherited, but they could not have found a better candidate if they tried. Gladys is renowned across the kingdom for her fighting and planning ability, and is always ready to jump in and protect the people she cares about. She wins every physical confrontation she gets into throughout the games, except for her romps with Lute.
  • Stripperiffic: Exposes her midriff, most of her thighs, and the bottom half of her bust. Gladys' outfit was definitely designed for form over function.
  • Tomboy with a Girly Streak: She's imposing, brusque, & aggressive, and with or without her sword she can beat up just about anyone. But in the sack, she enjoys playing the submissive role to one whom she sees as having conquered her.
  • Underboobs: Specifically, the entire bottom half of her I-cup breasts.
  • Whole Costume Reference: Her original outfit, with its long cape, shoulder pads, top that shows off Underboobs, and hardened high-heel boots, is a dead-ringer for Ingrid's combat armor from the Taimanin games, to say nothing of how both characters are swordswomen with caramel skin.

    Isis Petrovna Elenskaya
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/isis_upper_body.png
Royal Knight and Bodyguard
Click to see her in Sideboob Story 1 and 2.

Voiced by: Alice Sakurai (Japanese)

  • Bust: 99cm J-cup
  • Waist: 61cm
  • Hips: 95cm

The second-highest-ranking graduate from Lute's class in the Royal Knight Academy, and its top female graduate of all time. She acts cold to anyone she deems worthless, but is very affectionate towards people she loves, and secretly wishes above all to be loved herself.

  • Action Girl: And unlike Motaire, she's self-taught.
  • Bathing Beauty: In the forest, she announces that she is going to take a bath, and when Lute eventually follows her wondering whether she's attempting in her own way to invite him to see her naked, he finds her standing in the river with her arms above her head and wearing only her panties. Isis sees him and tells him to bring over her clothes, and when Lute puts his hands on her and she doesn't push him away, she is unable to deny that she was hoping he'd come to see her.
  • Cleavage Window: Especially notable in her case since she's supposedly wearing armor.
  • Covert Pervert: In the forest, she is too embarrassed to ask Lute to ravish her, and her attempt to do so consists of her telling him that she is about to bathe in the river and just hoping he comes to find her on his own. In the other route, where she is Lute's bodyguard, she feels she needs to maintain her proper attitude and hide her budding feelings for Lute, even as his each of his quips about how he should sleep with her causes her to hope/assume for a split second that he'll do it.
  • Defrosting Ice Queen: Lute's low grades and pre-game attempt at self-induced Marshmallow Hell gave Isis an extremely poor first impression of Lute, and her lack of respect for him is clear in all conversations they have in the first half of the game. Her pride makes it difficult for her to change her mind and admit she was wrong about Lute, but she becomes friendlier toward him as Lute demonstrates his value (either by saving her life three times in the forest or by resolving long-standing military & political conflicts for the kingdom) without expecting anything in return and while being more affectionate toward her than Motaire ever was.
  • Demoted to Extra: In the sequels, where her screen time and relevance are reduced to the point of Motaire becoming more important than she is. She's especially shafted in Sideboob Story as she has only one scene under her name in the scene replay menu. Granted, this was inevitable since the original game devotes one of its two main branches almost entirely to her, and that branch (though non-canon) gives her the longest and most complete Character Development of any heroine, which a sequel would be unlikely to match.
  • Leotard of Power: Wears one in Sideboob Story 1 and 2.
  • So Beautiful, It's a Curse: She mourns how the Royal Guard is a "man's world", because every member aside from her is male and almost all of them regularly go on about her breasts or try to cop a feel. Her fiancé Moltaire, who Isis wishes would be more affectionate toward her, is the only one who doesn't.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: If sent into the forest with Lute, Isis treats the soldiers under her with contempt and flat-out attempts to kill Lute multiple times, largely thanks to her spiraling into self-destructive despair after all of her work at the Knight Academy only landed her a suicide mission for a narcissistic Prime Minister, on top her fiancé ignoring all of her attempts to make their relationship worthwhile and telling her she's worthless if she dies in the forest. After Lute saves her life a few times and gets them further into the forest than anyone else had ever gone, she warms to him and ultimately falls in love with him.
  • Tsundere: She's kind once she respects someone. Before that, don't even bother.

    Emeralia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/emeralia_upper_body.png
Always watching.
Click to see her in Sideboob Story 1 and 2.

Voiced by: Kaoru Momozono aka Harumi Asai (Japanese)

  • Bust: 96cm I-cup
  • Waist: 60cm
  • Hips: 90cm

Distant and stoic, Emeralia has spent most of her spent her life serving as Luceria's private tutor and, more importantly, the Prime Minister's aide. She's ended many a career under his orders.

  • Breakout Character: Like with Gladys, the first game gives her neither her own ending nor her own section in the CG gallery, and Sideboob Story responds by offering her a much larger spotlight. She falls short of Gladys in that she still does not have an individual ending, but she gets a personal CG category and plenty of new scenes for it.
  • Cleavage Window: Attraction can be exploited, after all.
  • Does Not Like Men: Her bio in the original game states this outright. It's not so much hatred as it is emotional detachment and a perception that they are beneath her.
  • Emotionless Girl: Not much room for feelings in a life as someone else's tool. Emeralia's profile in the original game lists her likes as "N/A"; they're irrelevant to her existence. She rarely deviates from her neutral expression or professional disposition, and even when she does it's usually put on as part of a Bernstein plot. Her emotions were never fully extinguished, however, and in the sequels she's more keen on making her desires known even while remaining as dutiful as ever.
  • Evil Sorcerer: In the first game, where she's the only major human character to know any magic.
  • Hot Teacher: Officially, when Lute meets her, she's Luceria's private tutor.
  • Of Corsets Sexy: Wears a simple one in the first game.
  • My Master, Right or Wrong: Has lived this way for years by the time the story begins.
  • Redemption Promotion: After turning, she goes from being the prime minister's aide to being prime minister herself, and gets the chance to actually put her political acumen to use.
  • Sexy Secretary: Serves as this to Bernstein in the original, and effectively becomes one to Lute in her capacity as prime minister come the sequels.

    Nellis
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nellis_4.jpg

Voiced by: Mei Misonoo aka Sahomi Koyama (Japanese)

  • Bust: 98cm H-cup
  • Waist: 58cm
  • Hips: 88cm

Court magician of Lingobard. Sent to Edelland along with Argent on orders to take Lute down.

  • Bedlah Babe: Resembles one, with her low neckline, bare midriff, and jewelry.
  • Fortune Teller: Predicts the future using tarot cards. Quite accurately, too.
  • Hot Witch: She's a magician, and enough of a looker to officially be offered to Lute for a cover story.
  • Impossibly-Low Neckline: With a top that is neither extensive nor tight enough to receive support from anywhere on her body.
  • Only Sane Woman: After Lingobard's attempt to take Edelland's throne by force was crushed within days, she repeatedly tries to dissuade Bazalt and Argent from further working to undermine Edelland & Lute, warning that it will be the death of Lingobard. Her pleas fall on deaf ears; Bazalt is too incensed about losing the war to let Edelland retain its superior position and too egotistical to really believe that his efforts might fail, while Argent agrees with her on the risk but is determined to get the throne or die trying.

    Queen Aphrodia
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aphrodia.jpg

Voiced by: Ryou Kasumi aka Mitsu Takashiro (Japanese)

  • Bust: 107cm L-cup
  • Waist: 63cm
  • Hips: 91cm

Queen of Fronce. Beloved by her people.

  • Altar Diplomacy: Played with. It's too politically messy for them to formally marry at the end of Sideboob Story, but she does become Lute's mistress and promise that their two nations will be lovers just as they are, and that there will never be a future where Fronce plots to invade or annex Edelland. Happily played straight in some endings of the next one though. This turns out to be fortunate, since their child takes much more after Lute than her, making his parentage obvious.
  • Battle Bikini: Wears a variation of one to try to get Lute's measure at Boan.
  • The Chains of Commanding: Aphrodia is beloved by her people as a great queen, but she does feel lonely because she only has their devotion. Part of the reason she falls for Lute involves realizing that he loves Aphrodia the woman, rather than the queen of Fronce. Symbolically, her advisors refer to her body as "Fronce's national treasure," while Lute just appreciates her figure carnally.
  • Clark Kenting: She tries to pose as a mercenary to get to know Lute outside of her position as queen. Unfortunately, given her incredible proportions and exposed face, it's not a very effective disguise. She's later put out to realize he knew all along.
  • D-Cup Distress: While generally proud of her figure, the logistical issues of her being as busty as she is are a plot point. She grouses that her male ministers can't understand how helpful Edelland's invention of the bra was to women like her and when Curvier and de Roche try to play hardball with Lute during trade negotiations, she personally intervenes: she's not about to have the only underwear that actually gives her some support cut off.
  • Heinz Hybrid: She mentions that her family has blood from both faeries and nymphs while Lute is seducing her. This makes sense since many noble families on their continent are the descendants of demonic nobility. Unbeknownst to her, though, this also means that her ancestors were essentially bred to be harem-servants for Lute's ancestors, and their bodies are extremely compatible.
  • The Mistress: As of the ending of the first Sideboob Story, it would be too politically-tricky for she and Lute to formally marry, so she instead becomes his lover. Fortunately, the changed landscape in the second Sideboob Story sometimes averts this, and she gets to marry him for real when he unifies the whole continent.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Downplayed. Aphrodia is shown to be a skilled politician who can usually put her personal feelings to one side and she apparently knows how to swordfight, but unlike Gladys she doesn't do a lot of fighting herself on-screen.
  • Vapor Wear: Ironically, given a plot point in her story arc hinges on how useful they are to a woman like her, it's clear from both her outfits that Aphrodia isn't wearing a bra.
  • Wacky Marriage Proposal: In Sideboob Story 2, Aphrodia proposes to Lute shortly after he had rescued her, Shamsiel, Gladys, and himself from a soul jar Legrand attempted to seal them into in an assassination attempt, then they arrest said treacherous prince.

    Rosalyn
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rosalyn_6.jpg
:Click to see her in her mermaid form.

Voiced by: Tetsuko Kaburagi aka Maki Kobayashi (Japanese)

  • Bust: 97cm I-cup
  • Waist: 59cm
  • Hips: 91cm

Princess of Hillsland. A mermaid, and a descendant of Lorelia from Funbag Fantasy 2. She comes across "Mask" and falls in love with him, not realizing he is an amnesiac Lute.

  • Berserk Button: Rosalyn will get angry at anyone who would badmouth Lute in her presence, especially when coming from those who don't know him at all. Her best friend Estoria is not spared from this as Rosalyn nearly broke off all relations with her and Nordland after Estoria blatantly insults him on their first official meeting.
  • Insecure Love Interest: Once Rosalyn got a chance to meet her fellow co-wives, she begins to wonder if she's worthy enough to be one of Lute's wives since in her mind, they all look so much more beautiful and bustier than her. Lute assures Rosalyn that she does have a place among them as his lovers welcome her into their fold.
  • Love at First Sight: Rosalyn fell in love with Lute (while he was Mask) upon meeting him.
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Pirate mermaid princess.
  • Our Mermaids Are Different: Rosalyn can switch between mermaid and human forms at will.
  • Pirate: Moonlights as one to protect Hillsland's ships from being plundered and obtain proof that it's Fronce doing the plundering.
  • Tail Slap: Can easily do it in mermaid form even when outside of water, just like Lorelia.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: Has the ability to switch between human and mermaid form at will.

    Estoria
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/estoria.jpg

Voiced by: Kagetsu Suzune aka Yuu Iino (Japanese)

  • Bust: 104cm K-cup
  • Waist: 60cm
  • Hips: 92cm

Princess of Nordland and Rosalyn's best friend. She has a bad habit of making snap judgments about others.

  • Break the Haughty: Rosalyn had always looked down on Lute, but after both her father and Zeitzen die, she is left at a loss of what to do when she is forced to lead a war against Ostacia. To her surprise, Lute helped her out by sending several key commanders and forces to back her up.
  • Faux Action Girl: Even if she does look impressive in her warrior princess outfit, the fact is Estoria doen't know a thing about leading an army, which leads her to panic.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Estoria had a very low opinion of Lute despite never meeting him before, mostly due to wild rumors about his perversion and incompetence (from his detractors). She also shows a bit of favor towards Legrand since he's a handsome prince from a powerful country, not aware that he's just a shallow, arrogant, and self-entitled Jerkass.
  • I Have to Go Iron My Dog: In the past, Estoria made any excuse to avoid meeting Lute in person during political visits to Edelland. After the events of the story, Estoria regretted her foolish actions at missing good opportunities had she not been so ignorant of Lute's true character.
  • Jerkass Realization: After Lute helped the country of Nordland repel the Ostacian invasion, Rosalyn felt ashamed of herself for hating Lute before getting to know him, realizing he's nothing like she envisioned him to be.
  • Know-Nothing Know-It-All: Believes she doesn't need to get to know Lute as Estoria is adamant in knowing everything she needs to about him. This attitude nearly caused Rosalyn to break off all relations to Estoria and Nordland.

    Queen Serebria
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/serebria_4.jpg

Voiced by: Haruno Sakaki aka Miya Serizono (Japanese)

  • Bust: 120cm N-cup
  • Waist: 63cm
  • Hips: 95cm

Queen of Iberia and wife of King Emperador II.

  • Ambiguously Brown: Is the most dark-skinned woman of the ladies.
  • Bedlah Babe: Basically dresses like a Sultry Belly Dancer, or at least a royalty from an "Arabian Nights" Days setting.
  • The Beast Master: Can command a group of krakens, which made her unbeatable in a naval battle.
  • Because Destiny Says So: Serebria long ago had a divination that she will meet her true love, the Hallowed Demon, after she marries a monarch. She discovers that Lute in the reincarnated Hallowed Demon and thus pledges her body to him.
  • I Gave My Word: In her first encounter with Lute/Mask, Serebria said she would humor his request for a dance with her if he manages to beat all of her crewmembers at a coin toss. He wins.
  • Making a Splash: Being an undine, Serebria has water powers, making her an ideal naval commander.
  • Mayfly–December Romance: Ironically, while he looks much older than her, she's very much the senior partner in her marriage.

Edellandians

    King Hagel von Diamante

Voiced by: Atsuya Takizawa aka Jun Ozaki (Japanese)

King of Edelland, and the father of Princess Luceria & Prince Bobon. Boisterous but affable, he came up with the Knighted Bureaucracy to pivot the kingdom toward filling government positions with the most suitable candidates rather than the highest-born.

  • Big Good: King Hagel's country has many problems, but he's never shown to be the cause of any of them.
  • The Good King: A textbook example, even if he's not super fleshed out. He has some very-modern ideas about good government, and all the opposing forces in his country are either vile reactionaries, power-hungry traitors, or secretly on his side all along.
  • Interspecies Romance: Downplayed, since, like many noble families on the continent, he must've had some daemon blood to avoid going Out with a Bang during their relationship together, but Luceria's mother was a nymph, and, if his reaction to Lute's carrying on with his daughter is any indication, a hot-blooded and sensual woman herself.
  • Open-Minded Parent: When he realizes his daughter and Lute have been discreetly carrying on during her ending he's fine with it, so long as Lute makes an honest woman out of the princess. He knows Lute is a better successor than his worthless son anyway, and he's also relieved that she can be with someone without hurting them. After all, her mother was a passionate nymph too...
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: In every ending in which he's directly involved, he helps Lute achieve his desires without complaint even when he's disappointed with the result, whether it's letting him go back to Boan to marry Roxanne and live a happy, if quiet life as the new Prefect, allowing him to pick his choice of promotion, letting him choose the rebel leader's fate, or declaring him his heir and letting him marry his daughter. The last one gets him killed on the Harem route.
  • Second Love: After Luceria's mother died, he remarried Bobon's mother, the king of neighboring Lingobard's sister, and we never hear they were unhappy together. Unfortunately, this resulted in, well, Bobon.

    Motaire De Platine

Voiced by: Akio Takeda (Japanese)

The top student in Lute's class, Isis's fiancee, and an all-around talented guy, who's also become enormously conceited and arrogant as a result. At the start of the game, he's been promoted right alongside Isis straight into the King's personal bodyguard.

  • The Ace: Deconstructed. On paper, Motaire's hero material: athletic and good-looking, a Master Swordsman, an excellent student, and even a talented chess player. But being such a well-rounded and capable guy went straight to Motaire's head, and he's not only become an enormous asshole who treats everyone he sees as beneath him like dirt but often finds less success than he'd like in the "real world" where solving problems often requires delegation and people skills.
  • Always Someone Better: Motaire is a pretty capable guy when his ego isn't getting in the way, but Gladys is his superior as a swordsman and chess player, while Lute (in the story routes where he and Motaire interact much) ends up rising up in the world much faster than he himself does.
  • Arranged Marriage: He's set up to marry Isis, but, on her story route, he makes it clear that he's not really attracted to her, and regularly cheats with groupies.
  • Big Damn Heroes: In Sideboob Story 2 Motaire punches out Legrand when he attempted to kill Aphrodia so that he could rule Fronce.
  • Big Man on Campus: At the start of the game, he's everything Lute isn't: rich, popular with the ladies, well-connected, an excellent and athletic student, and ready to start a respectable career as one of the king's own bodyguards.
  • Break the Haughty: On Gladys's story route, he's repeatedly beaten up and humiliated by his inability to understand or accept how Lute, someone he looks down on as a loser and a failure, could succeed again and again and keep rising in the world where he has failed. In the Harem Ending, it causes him to rethink his life and become a better, humbler person.
  • Happily Married: By Sideboob Story 2, Motaire is married to Felzen's niece.
  • Heel–Face Turn: After his long Humiliation Conga over the course of the Harem Route, Motaire is rethinking his life and his attitude, as well as his opinion of Lute, who he realizes generally hasn't mistreated him back despite being in a position to. (Sleeping with his groupies notwithstanding.) When Bernstein suggests he might make Motaire his next Puppet King after Bobon outlives his usefulness, it's the last push Motaire needs to turn on him and help the conspiracy to free Lute and bring the scheming prime minister to justice.
  • Jerkass: Motaire might not quite be a full-on villain, but he is definitely a massive asshole.
    • Jerkass Realization: By the end of the True Harem route, even he realized having Bobon ascend the throne would spell doom to the kingdom. When Bernstein offered to make him his pawn once Bobon outlived his usefulness, Motaire was forced to take a long hard look at himself, realizing Lute was not responsible for King Hagel's murder and goes to help him.
  • A Lady on Each Arm: Motaire goes around with Aristera and Droit by his side.
  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: His default look.
  • Really Gets Around: At the start of the game, he's engaged to Isis and also carrying on with two groupies out in the open.
  • Smug Snake: Motaire's got a pretty high opinion of himself, and he can theoretically back it up, but he keeps running into people against whom his towering arrogance is an obstacle more than an asset.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Motaire loses all his Jerkass traits once Sideboob Story rolls around. Getting married in 2 also helped out.

    General Felzen
One of the top veteran generals of Shoenburg. Later becomes Motaire's in-law.

    General Schlamm
The second of the top veteran generals of Shoenburg.

    General Zant
The third of the top veteran generals of Shoenburg.

    Aristera and Droit
A pair of attractive women who once served as Motaire's groupies.

    Sexiere de Platine
The father of Motaire and one of the top merchants of the country for inventing the bra.

    Rubin Von Bernstein
The corrupt prime minister of Shoenburg who plots to take over the kingdom.
  • Abusive Parents: He treats his daughter like a tool rather than a person and is implied to have molested her.
  • Big Bad: Of the first story.
  • Evil Chancellor: A scheming high official who plots to take over Shoenburg and will stop to any lows to do it, even murdering the king and pinning the crime on Lute.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Bernstein intends to rule Shoenburg from behind the curtain with the use of a Puppet King.
  • Shadow Dictator: His Goal in Life. He knows he could never sit on the throne himself because he lacks legitimacy, so he wants to put an easily-controlled Puppet King on instead, or even more preferably a rapidly-rotating succession of them so no one of them will ever become strong enough to challenge him.

    Prince Bobon
The spoiled son of King Hagel and half-brother of Luceria, a selfish jerk who only cares about ruling the kingdom one day.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Bobon might be a ridiculous person, but ridiculous doesn't mean harmless. In one ending, he successfully steals demonic power and transforms into a dangerous monster, while in another he is already plotting mass executions on his way to being installed as a Puppet King.
  • The Caligula: In the ending where it looks like he'll become king, he's already plotting to turn every woman who catches his eye into a Sex Slave and send every man who even slightly irks him to the gallows. Bernstein suggests to Motaire that he might be installed as a new king soon, implicitly because Bobon is just too unstable to serve as a good puppet.
  • Fat Bastard: Bobon is a chubby piece of lard of a human who is also a real scumbag.
  • Hate Sink: Bobon is nothing more than an overgrown brat with absolutely no redeeming qualities. Even the citizens think he's an unlikable and unwanted piece of shit.
  • Manchild: Is quite a brat and demanding of everything. To add to it, Bobon even carries around lollipops.
  • Prince Charmless: Bobon is a fat and unattractive prince with a bratty and selfish personality.
  • Royal Brat: When he ascends the throne, Bobon makes some outrageous demands since "he's king". He wants to have Lute's execution done now, claim all the named women for himself, make a law to kill anyone who even looks at him funny, and relegates anyone he doesn't like. See Manchild above.
  • The Usurper: Selfishly wants to rule the kingdom as its ruler.
  • Villains Want Mercy: Once Bobon gets abandoned by Bernstein to save himself, he is met by Felzen, the man he tried to banish from the kingdom. Bobon desperately tried to bribe Felzen into not killing him. He is ignored and Felzen kills the fat prince.

    Wan Coan
An aide at Vanderbalt Castle secretly working under Bernstein.

    Prefect Irboyne
The former husband of Roxanne and prefect of Boan.

  • Asshole Victim: No one in Boan cared when Irboyne died of a heart attack in a cell considering he planned an assisted rebellion with Bobon against Edelland, not to mention his horrible treatment of Roxanne.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Irboyne tried to punch above his weight class, but is taken down rather easily.
  • Divorce Requires Death: Attempts this by panning to have Roxanne killed off via plotting to have her commit adultery with Lute. Ironically, Irboyne kicks the bucket first a second after starting his plan.
  • Pædo Hunt: Irboyne is heavily hinted at being a pedophile, considering his cold treatment of Roxanne who has a voluptuous body and not only never consummated their in-name-only marriage, but has her room set on the other side of the castle. Shamsiel even tells Lute that Irboyne "prefers young girls" and even cheats on Roxanne with them.
  • Self-Disposing Villain: He spends the entire first act of the story trying to engineer his wife's adultery with the bothersome new appointee so that he can at once be rid of a threat to his hegemony and a woman he married for entirely political reasons. When he finally catches them in the act, the excitement is too much for him, and he keels over on the spot.
  • Warmup Boss: The first obstacle Lute has to overcome in his journey to achieve greater things.

    Madoise
Irboyne's rat-like aide.
  • Animal Motif: His buckteeth makes Madoise look like a human rat.

Lingobardians

    King Bazalt I
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bazalt.jpg

Voiced by: Atsuya Takizawa aka Jun Ozaki (Japanese)

King of Lingobard.

  • Hair-Trigger Temper: One of the few personality traits he shows besides short-sightedness is his explosive temper and his willingness to vent it on everyone around him.
  • Villain Has a Point: From a certain point of view, his complaint with Lute is essentially correct. Lute did displace the legitimate heir, his nephew, after being accused of the murder of his brother-in-law, with the aid of several high-ranking military and palace officials in a coup, one of them a captured rebel general to boot, plus the aid of a dangerous supernatural creature. The prince in question was an insane would-be tyrant who'd taken power in a coup engineered by an inside figure himself, Lute's coming to power wasn't engineered by himself but by the princess, making it more of a counter-coup, and most of said officials were actually the king's most loyal friends hoping to avenge his assassination, but from the outside looking in one can see how Bazalt drew the conclusions he drew.

    Argent de Bonn
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/argent_6.jpg

Voiced by: Yuuji Masuoka aka Yuichi Masuda (Japanese)

Bazalt's nephew.

  • Belated Love Epiphany: Argent never noticed Nellis's crush on him thanks to his fetish for dark-skinned women and envious lust for Gladys. Once they were imprisoned together after the failure of all their schemes, Argent finally realized Nellis's love for him, but by then it was far too late as she had by that time found new love with Lute. Really, it was his own fault, and he seems to acknowledge it and let her go somewhat-gracefully.
  • Better as Friends: In the end, he and Nellis get along better when neither one's pining for the other than they ever did during their Unrequited Love Switcheroo.
  • Fatal Flaw: Ambition. He has others, but in the end what destroys him is his desire to improve his own standing in the world, regardless of the cost. He is aware that he's just serving as a pawn in Curvier's schemes to destroy Edelland, and that many of the things he's doing are unlikely to succeed, but he's decided he'd rather play the longshot and either become king or die than sink into contented mediocrity.
  • Has a Type: He likes dark-skinned women. While his core motivation for trying to overthrow Lute and become king of Edelland is that he's a Spare to the Throne and unlikely to attain power or position otherwise, he admits that his envy of Lute for having the love of a woman he lusts after makes it easier to plot against him. He also admits to favor butts over boobs.
  • Pet the Dog: Even though he isn't in love with her, he treats Nellis markedly better than his horrible father, showing that there's something salvageable in him.
  • Spanner in the Works: His spiteful little prank in deliberately moving the wine into the wrong part of the castle ends up saving Lute's life when it completely derails Curvier's final gambit.

Fronch

    Count Matiere de Roche
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/roche.jpg

The prime minister of Fronce loyal to Queen Aphrodia.

    General Sokho
The top general of Fronce.

    Marquis Cuvier
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cuvier.jpg

The corrupt grand chamberlain of Fronce who believes his country deserves to be the top super power of Eurodia.

  • Big Bad: The main villain of the first Sideboob Story, and the ultimate mastermind behind both Lingobard and the Church's efforts to get rid of Lute.
  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: Bernstein was a hot-head who wore his heart on his sleeve and threw a huge tantrum whenever things went wrong, while Curvier is cool and collected even in the endings where he accepts failure and moves to make an alliance with Edelland. And while Bernstein wanted all power for himself and cared for nothing and no one else, desiring first and foremost to serve as Shadow Dictator behind a succession of puppets, Curvier is deeply loyal to both Queen Aphrodia and Fronce... he's just convinced that he and he alone knows what's best for them, even if it means taking actions he knows his queen would never agree to.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Curvier might be a scheming prick, but he loves and is deeply loyal to his queen, even though that sometimes means he'll disobey her orders in the name of what he considers her best interests. When one of his schemes almost results in her death by accident, he's horribly shaken and thanks Lute for saving her life with uncharacteristic sincerity.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: In all routes besides the true one, he calmly accepts that he's lost and moves on to try to make Edelland into an ally because there are no roads forward for him. It's worth noting that his downfall in the True ending comes when he chooses to keep doubling down on a bad hand rather than eating a loss.
  • No Historical Figures Were Harmed: As the powerful prime minister with strong ties to the church in the setting's equivalent of France, Curvier draws obvious comparisons to famous French schemer Cardinal Richelieu and his protégés.
  • Psycho Supporter: Cuvier isn't personally ambitious like his predecessor Bernstein; he is deeply loyal to both his queen and his nation rather than to himself. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean he's any more moral of a person. Even once it's clear Queen Aphrodia is in love with King Lute, Curvier still tries to undermine and destroy him in the name of what he considers the best interest of she and Fronce.
  • Villainous Breakdown: At the end of the True Harem route, Cuvier attempted a Trojan Horse ploy by hiding hundreds of Fronce soldier in wine barrels presented as a gift to Edelland. When the bogus contract signing goes south, Cuvier throws his trap, bragging that by now the castle is being overrun by his soldiers from within. However, it failed spectacularly due to said wine barrels having been stored in the dungeon cells on false orders by Argent (out of spite, but still), so all the soldiers wind up trapped. Cuvier refuses to believe his trap failed, thinking that Lute and the reporting guard were bluffing. He was soon shocked into speechlessness when he gets escorted to the dungeon to be imprisoned for his treachery and saw all his soldiers packed together like sardines (which the Edellians got a laugh out of).

    Prince Legrand De Chataigne
The arrogant prince of Fronce and nephew of Aphrodia.

  • Casanova Wannabe: Believes himself to be the greatest gift to women, but is just a shallow and selfish prick.
  • Conspiracy Theorist: Believes Lute is purposely getting in his way of trying to woo any of the women in the game when he fails.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Although Legrand thought Shamsiel and Gladys are sexy ladies, he gets angry when Shamsiel put him in his place by casually asking why Rosalyn dumped his sorry ass (which Gladys gets a laugh out of). He refuses to let anyone get away with insulting his status as a so-called lady killer and plotted to murder the both of them for it.
  • Harem Seeker: Legrand wants all the named women in the series for himself. They don't give him the time of day.
  • It's All About Me: He couldn't care less if his careless actions hurt or kill people. All Legrand cares about is getting what he wants and rising in the world.
  • Jerkass: Legrand is a self-entitled jerk who let his status as a prince go to his head.
  • Lack of Empathy: Doesn't care if innocent people get killed in wars (some even caused by him) as long as it makes him look good and prestigeous.
  • Sore Loser: Arrogantly picks Lute/Mask as a jousting opponet from a crowd, thinking him to be an easy target. When Lute/Mask winds up beating him (completely by accident), Legrand angrily gets back at him by accusing him to be an Iberian spy in order to have Lute/Mask thrown in the dungeon. Talk about petty...
  • The Usurper: Attempted to assassinate Queen Aphrodia, his own aunt, so he could rule Fronce. Legrand even tried to assassinate Lute, Shamsiel, and Gladys while they were there as well to remove them as potential threats. He failed spectacularly.
  • Villains Want Mercy: After his failed Assassination Attempt on Aphrodia, Lute, Shamsiel, and Gladys, Legrand tries one last-ditch attempt to kill Aphrodia, until he gets punched out by Motaire and later by Felzen. Legrand immediately begs for mercy after he gets caught and arrested. He's sent to the guillotine for his treachery.

Hillslandians

    Gawain II
The king of Hillsland and father of Rosalyn. Seems rather meek for a ruler.

  • Horrible Judge of Character: Gawain ordered the arrest of Lute/Mask just because Legrand casually accused him of being an Iberian spy with absolutely no proof. He doesn't even listen to his own daughter and prime minister, two people he knows more, in favor of believing the haughty prince because he wanted to stay on Fronce's good side.
  • Inadequate Inheritor: Gawain II had made some questionable decisions in ruling his country that it is now a far cry from how it was under Ruin's rule. He's also too meek to take any action in response to offenses towards Hillsland because he's afraid of offending neighboring countries.

    Langston
The prime minister of Hillsland.
  • No Historical Figures Were Harmed: Takes much inspiration from Sir Francis Wallsingham, including his dark complexion and status as the suspicious master of spies and intrigue for a female monarch.

    Wan Patan
A prefect of Nonshire who also serves as a jailer of sorts when he first encountered "Mask".

  • Berserk Button: Getting his name wrong and being referred to as "One Pattern".

Nordlandians

    Zeitzen
The prime minister of Nordland who serves as the reasonable authority and Estoria's confidant.

  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Zeitzen constantly worries about how Estoria's attitude with other kingdoms, especially Lute's, can cause unnecessary frictions and is always trying to put those fires out.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Zeitzen would call out Estoria for her attitude concerning Lute. Estoria may be royalty, but Zeitzen will not allow her to treat a monarch like a commoner and risk offending a kingdom simply because she doesn't like the guy from her own imagined perceptions of him. He also calls out Estoria for looking for any excuse to avoid meeting Lute in the past.

Iberians

    Emperador II
The arrogant king of Iberia who believes he deserves to rule over the continent.

  • Large Ham: Goes on about how great he believes himself to be. Just looking at his sprite shows just how hammy he is.

    Historias
The prime minister of Iberia who is also a skilled court magician.

State of Vacatin

    Cardinal Agatha
The Chairman of the Council of Cardinals.

  • Big Good: He's a fair man and the head of the Council of Cardinals. Agatha had no problem with Lute marrying Shamsiel even if she is a demon. In fact, even before/without having met Shamsiel or Lute in person, he still refers to Shamsiel as just that: a person.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Thankfully one since he's the leader. Some of his fellow cardinals, however, are corrupt men who run on Fantastic Racism towards demons.
  • Saintly Church: Agatha tries to live up to this standard. Thankfully, unlike some of the other cardinals, he's humble and not arrogant enough to see himself as completely flawless.

    Cardinal Fango
One of the cardinals who directly serves under Agatha.
