• The pre-intro scene to "Wait... Coffee is a SOUP?!" is a video call between the Theorist Crew pitching Food Theory ideas; turns out Dan and his wife were arguing over whether or not coffee is a soup, with Dan being on the "No" side because "You don't drink soup". The others are quick to correct him there, saying you can indeed drink soup (one of them points out that Campbell's did a whole ad campaign on this). Amy points out that the beans aren't in the final product, to which Bob pitches that it's bean stock/broth, to Dan's displeasure. Mat declares that they have their episode and comically points out Amy taking a big drink of her coffee during this.
  MatPat: Amy's chugging her bean broth!
  Dan: Don't say that!!
• The video itself gives Dan a Hope Spot by saying that calling Coffee "Bean Soup" is inaccurate...because Coffee Beans aren't technically Beans. Dan contents himself with that small victory, but the video goes on to rule that Coffee is indeed a Soup, in the same way Tomato Soup is Soup. Dan isn't happy to hear this.^note Some of the comments argue that Coffee is more of a Tea, but others argue that since Tea is generally made with leaves this doesn't count. Potential follow-up?
