As this is a fanfiction based off the Mother series, it's only natural that it has the same humor as its source material.
- Dana and Drake's new room comes with a bunk bed. Their first priority?Dana: "Wanna play Smash? Winner gets the top bunk."Drake: "You're on."
- Drake ends up losing the match. He throws out this to Dana:
"If I’m not mistaking, making your bed’s harder from the top bunk."- Dana replies that it was Drake's idea in the first place, which it wasn't. Whether this is was intentional or a continuity error is unknown, but it's funny both ways.
- Pio and Ian's Establishing Character Moments.Ian: "Look, why do you fixate on needing to find someone like us? Your search is as preposterous as it is futile. I implore you to cease."Pio: "I’m just bored. This whole thing of ‘looking for the child who will defeat us again’ is taking too long, and I just want it to be over."Ian: "It's only been a month..."Pio: "It's been a whole month?"
- Dana and Drake spend their lunchtime wondering why the school puts chicken nuggets in their mac and cheese.
- After Dana "saves" Ian from the bullies, he remembers he was going to the bathroom to throw up, and proceeds to do so in the nearest trash can.Ian: "Maybe giving him spoiled milk wasn’t the most terrific way to get him to enter the bathroom when I needed him to, but it unquestionably worked out."
- After school, Drake holds a telepathic conversation with Pio, who wants to know more about Dana to see if he is the Chosen One. Drake does not know who Pio is and asks him why he wants to know about his brother. Pio proceeds to explain that EarthBound is real and aliens are trying to take over the Earth.Drake: "In a way this seems like some sort of thing that a spy agency would say if they wanted to kidnap us, but okay."
- A later prompt asks the players what snacks they want to buy at the corner store. However, pio_dov misspells "snacks" as "snakes". Cue the players all making snake-related jokes in their dialogue.Prompt:epoch5zz, Drake Inferno, TheName’sAndonuts, and pio_dov…What snakes do you each buy at the corner store?Crafty: "Hello, hello, come on in! What snakes— sorry, I mean snacks can I get for you?"Ian: "No need to correct yourself, Crafty. You were right the first time." Ian said with a chortle. He takes a packet of mixed gummy snakes and slaps it down on the counter.Drake: "Snakes? Well, I guess snake jerky is a thing. I’ve never had it, though."
- Dana learns he is a hero chosen by fate to save the planet from an army of invading aliens through a...magical, cat-sized jelly bean comprised of several smaller jellybeans. Said jellybean then tells him that in order to learn his PK Special, he has to consume the jelly bean.
