• Whenever the king raises your taxes, the reasons that he gives you ranges from understandable ones such as a war back in Europe requiring additional resources, to crazy ones such as 'In celebration of the marriage to my tenth wife, your taxes has been raised by 10%, you may now kiss my pinky finger'.
• In the remake, some of the Native Americans appears to very prophetic and completely aware of their situation. One of the greeting quotes that the chief gives you when you make first contact is 'May there be peace between our people until you run out of space to expand!'.
