"Life's Not Fair" is a song about how being wicked pays off more than being virtuous, which feels odd given that the entire premise of the series is the villains setting out to undo their defeats at the hands of the heroes. But it makes perfect sense coming from Hook, who probably doesn't consider PeterPan to be a virtuous hero.
