Fridge Horror :

• As far as Daphne knows, her husband Emmanuel went off with a stranger and never came home.
• Castiel as Emmanuel comes off as peaceful, wise, and empathetic, and it's clear he is atoning for his past actions despite not remembering them. Memories of his actions, ones he later admits make him suicidal return to him thanks to his desire to help Dean. He then goes on to absorb all Sam's memories of hell, going mad in the process. As enjoyable as it is to have Castiel back, he trades peace and contentment so he can help Dean.
