- It's entirely possible that if Keller hadn't acted as he did, the girls wouldn't have survived. Keller only (unknowingly) goes to the location of the girls to apologize for his behavior and later Joy identifies Keller having been there, which tells Keller where they were. He attempts to rescue his daughter himself but fails. The only reason Loki enters the scene is to inform Holly that Alex, her nephew has been found. The culprit is already administering lethal injection at this point, so it would have been too late if Loki hadn't come at that very moment.
