Fridge / Pinky and Pepper Forever

Go To

Fridge Brilliance

  • A piece of of art at the end of the book shows Pepper walking a non-anthro Pinky. It's Lil' Pinkie!
  • Pepper's suicide note includes the line "pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death," a line from a prayer to the Virgin Mary called the Hail Mary. She was literally doing a Hail Mary play to see Pinky again.

Fridge Horror

  • Pinky and Pepper's parents are likely beside themselves with grief. Pepper's parents lost their daughter only a few weeks after she went into a deep depression because her girlfriend died—and suicide is a mortal sin in the Catholic faith. But it's worse for Pinky's parents, who not only lost their daughter to suicide, but her dead body is on display encased in resin that she did to herself, and she called it her final art project. Not to mention people are taking pictures of it, posting it all over social media, and they're now fighting with the law to prevent art collectors from keeping their child's corpse. At least Pepper's parents are likely free to have a private service and mourn out of the spotlight.
