If you talk to several characters in the game, some would comment about how strange Ein is: He can go into the ashlands without special bias factor tuning and use burst arts despite not being an AGE. Then it is revealed that Ein is Soma, who is already known as the first God Eater, so he really doesn't need any bias factor tuning. Also, his burst art is technically not a burst art, but a blood art from the previous game. Ein states that he learned the ability "from a friend" which is the previous game's protagonist.
Another thing, after you learn that Ein is Soma, you start to wonder how he got scarred despite having a Healing Factor that is on par with aragami. It makes sense if you remember the fact that the only things that can damage oracle cells are other oracle cells. Ein's scars because of an attack by an Anubis are the equivalent of an aragami having a "broken" a body part.
