Fridge Brilliance
- The leader of the rebellion Byakuren Hijiri is hailed as a revolutionary that ended the reign of House Sanzu (after Mad Queen Eiki Shiki plunged the realm in war, while her sucessor, Queen Komachi, was much better). However, after she ascends to the throne, she reveals to be an ineffectual leader, that can't make difficult decisions, to the point she prefers to kill herself. This makes sense if you consider that in canon, Byakuren is a well-meaning but ultimately incompetent leader that barely can control the youkai under her wing in Myouren Temple.
